Long term patient
I have been seeing Dr. Chaisson-McRae for many years. She listens and is very knowledgeable about her specialty as well as other areas of medicine. She was able to pre-diagnose me with possible sleep apnea (many other Dr's missed) and refer me to get a sleep study that confirmed I did in fact have sleep apnea. This was life changing. I recently suffered with depression and after struggling for months on my own, I went to see her and the med she put me on immediately helped me. I wish I hadn't waited to seek her help.

Did not help, made things worse
Dr Chaison McRae is void of compassion, knowledge and does not provide complete and thoughtful care. It is unfortunate for current and future patients. Find someone else due to the nature of the care needed.

She asks me to stop take medicine that I have take for more than 15 years. Because she believes the medicine is dangerous. It is not professional. There should be transition between switch the medication.

She never sent my prescriptions correctly & in a timely matter. When I expressed my concerns to Dr. Clarissa Chaisson-McRae her lack of sympathy and urgency was repulsive. She wouldn’t return my calls & was always “gone” for the day at 2:00pm it took me over 2 weeks to get my prescriptions. Very dangerous doctor and shouldn’t be allowed to practice medicine.

Dr. Chaisson-McRae is a great psychiatrist. She really seems to care and won't immediately push med changes. She gives you her recommendations, listens to what you think, and gives you time to research if you need it.

Face to face visit was pleasant, however when there are clerical issues/errors, she remains unavailable and discompassionate and seems to be more focused on increasing your visit-count at every opportunity. I should have read her reviews before accepting an appointment which was assigned by first-available by the front desk...I guess there is a reason why she was the first available. Another thing to point out is that her rate is much higher than other more desirable doctors in the same area.
