HIPPA Violation
Not related to Dr. Tan personally, but her staff. Her staff called my cell phone and left a long, detailed voicemail regarding my medical history without ever identifying who I was, before ever going to an appointment. They recommended an infusion with a rather dangerous (in case of fire, break glass kind of drug) drug before seeing me. After I discussed this experience with other physicians they understood my hesitation to see her. In fact, I did not see her because of this.

After a battery of test, I was told I had advance RA. She immediately gave me a shot of methotrexate that clearly stated on the patient handout (which I was given by the pharmacist, not her) that it would interact very badly with a condition I knew I had. She didnt care. Then they charged my insurance $1,892 for a dr note for my work. My insurance dropped her as a PPO, it was not her 1st time doing this. Save yourself pain and money, go elsewhere. I do not have RA. Confirmed by another dr.

After a battery of tests, I was told I had tested positive for Hep C. Went through a whole holiday weekend trying to figure out how/where I got it. Many sleepless nights and fights with my husband. Come to find out it was a false-positive, I didn't have it, and her office waited weeks to tell me.
