Excellent at correctly diagnosing and treating a variety of hand and arm issues

I went in because my fingers were going numb. She did a very brief test and told me there was nothing wrong. She was really rude to me and so was her staff. She threw me a paper pillow case and said here we give these out for people who have to sleep with their hand on a pillow. My very first and last time there. I left her office very upset. I was very polite to her and her staff so that wasn’t it. My hands were tested and both hands came back with carpal tunnel. I’m so glad I went to another Dr. In Saint Cloud. I have NEVER been treated so awful by a Doctor.

I have seen 5 Orthopedic doctors for different ailments and have had many cortisone injections. Dr. McCarthy is the only doctor who uses a spray to freeze the target area sufficiently before injecting the cortisone into a tender and sensitive spot. She excels at explaining what is wrong, what she is doing , and what will be involved in future treatments in order cure or improve what is hurting.

I met with Dr. McCarthy for a consultation about troublesome arthritis in one of my fingers, causing pain. She listened, was empathetic, and offered a range of solutions from OTC pain relief to a cortisone shot to potential surgery down-the-line. I found her personable, caring and knowledgeable. My experience plus all the accolades from other patients make her a top-rated doctor.

Dr. McCarthy was amazing. She is a top-notch hand and Dupuytren's expert. Excellent communications, terrific bedside manner, and great staff as well.

Dr. McCarthy is an expert in her field. I am having surgery soon, to repair damage to my basal thumb joint, thanks to osteoarthritis. Dr. Clare McCarthy is an outstanding Dr. and surgeon. She has a great bed-side manner, treats you, the patient, with respect and dignity, and is not knife happy unless that is the only solution left to treat the condition properly. I highly recommend her for any hand, wrist, finger complaints.
