Dr. Claire Danby, MD

Since 2013, my and my kid’s medical needs have either been ignored, overmedicated, mismanaged, mistreated, or misdiagnosed by nearly every doctor we’ve seen within Maine Medical Partners. Dr. Danby did nothing of the sort. Not only did she listen to me and educate me about the skin condition that so many doctors previously failed to properly identify and treat- she was patient with me and showed extreme kindness and empathy when I started crying. I have PTSD from my experiences with doctors and for the past 7 years I haven’t been able to attend an appointment without crying or having a panic attack. Not once did I feel ashamed or embarrassed or personally attacked with Dr. Danby. She didn’t accuse me of lying when I told her my mychart was inaccurate, which as sad as it sounds, meant the world to me. Can’t remember an appointment before hers where I wasn’t gaslit. Thanks for showing me that bedside manners and doctor-patient trust do still exist.
