Dismissive
Went in to discuss ongoing pain that had become worse. First appointment about the pain but explained the ongoing nature and the acute pain that had developed over previous weeks. She didn't listen to what I was saying and made up her mind that she knew what the problem was and ordered labs ($4000 luckily my insurance agreement paid them much less). She also prescribed antibiotics and said to start before labs came back based on her assumptions. They were unnecessary because I didn't have the condition she assumed I had. I only know the labs are negative due to patient portal. I have yet to hear from her 3 weeks later. Since then I contacted another Dr and am waiting on an MRI. I did try to raise a couple questions about my condition but was basically told it wasn't what I thought and just get labs.

Very dimissive
I felt dismissed; she showed no concern over my situation. In fact, she implied that I had no right to feel the way I do. At our very first meeting together, I expressed my personal feeling of overwhelm as I care for my elderly father and dog (also elderly). She ran off a litany of things in her life and ended with 'you have an old man and a dog.' At best she essentially dismissed my concern for my own wellbeing and at worst she implied that I had no right to feel the way I did as she was quite capable of taking care of her own responsibilities - I should be able to as well. She continued to compare me to herself and I continually felt unheard and dismissed. At the end of my appointment, she shared that there was something wrong with my heart and 'we should get it looked into' then left for her next appointment. WHAT?? I will not see her again.

Amazing doctor!
I do highly recommend doctor Elkins to whoever needs a compassionate, sympathetic, professional, NOT judgmental and thorough doctor. She’s absolutely one of the most kindest human being that I ever met.

I changed my primary care doctor during Covid (October 2020). Before I even had my new patient appointment, I tested positive for the virus. I had symptoms and was quite ill because I have asthma. Dr. Elkins and her staff were very responsive to my many phone calls while I was recovering and during my two visits to the office. I was able to get a letter for my Covid vaccine efficiently and quickly.

Dr. Elkins is the worst physician I have ever been to. She doesn't respond to her MyChart messages, and if you ask her about it, she blames it on her staff or claims it was a technical glitch. I could see that happening once, but not every single time. The last time I was in her office, I had to sit in an exam room for over an hour, and received no apology and 5 minutes of her time. She pushes a lot of office visits on her patients, which feels like a money grab. She's no longer my Physician

Dr. Elkins is very unhelpful. She has patients waiting for long periods of time and rushes through the appointment. Does not seem to to value the patients time and concerns. She references to other treatment plans used with other patients when meeting with you. Does not treat her patients like and individual .She dis values their opinions and is quick to prescribe medications. She always has me waiting for at least 30 mins. She claimed I was late. That was due to checkin at the front

Dr. Elkins was a major disappointment. From the beginning my appointments were rushed and I felt she was not very thorough or concerned. I was scheduled for an 18 week ultrasound and when I returned for a follow up visit she never discussed it with me. 10 weeks later I learned there were concerns on the u/s that needed to be addressed. She is negligent and unprofessional. I asked to be referred to another OB after she left an appointment early and called in sick to another.

For one's first visit and annual physical all Dr. Elkins performs is listening to lungs & heart; does she order blood work (comprehensive panel or otherwise), unless requests i, and only after one's visit. She is very slow to answer messages to her on My Chart; her staff does not answer at all. She does not send permissions for tests she has authorized, so when one arrives for a test, it hasn't been authorized and thus cannot take place. Staff do not act in a professional manner.
