Came for a check up since I tend to have a lot of spots. She may have spent not even a minute checking my front and another minute maybe checking my back.

I was seeking a new dermatologist because my doctor of 30+ years is semi-retired. After waiting a month for an appointment, when I arrived the very pleasant nurse greeted me. After a long wait, two assistants arrived. One was mute and seemed to be observing; the other was chirpy, ingratiating and offensive, treating me as though I was a small child or mentally incompetent. When I mentioned that I had another issue to be checked out, she told me the doctor could check only the problem for which I made the appointment and that I would have to come back! After another long wait, Dr. Hoffman breezed in -- hurried, brusque and cold and spent less than 5 minutes with me. She barely looked at me and said I would have to come in for a full body check for my other issues, and she could not diagnose my rash because it was not "active" and that I might have to book an "emergency" visit when it was. No further explanation. Dr. Hoffman is among the worst physicians I have ever seen.

I usually go to Dr. Hoffman for myself for acne treatments & she’s always been great & very professional. So I decided to took take my 6 year old daughter to her after seeing several pediatric dermatologist in the Westchester area for the past 2 years & none of the pediatric dermatologist were able to actually figure out my daughter skin problem until I took her to Dr Hoffman. She put her on a cream from the first moment she saw her & within 2 months my daughter’s skin was back to normal. :)

I explained the reason for the visit, something I stated while making the initial appointment, "I need skin tags removed as well as a cyst near my eye." She said, "Oh no. I have to charge you for each skin tag because your insurance doesn't pay. And go to an eye doctor for that cyst." What a waste of my time & money. So I went to another derm who had no problems performing this.

Incompetent office staff. I was told I had no co pay then was hit with a $100 bill for her looking at one birthmark for maybe 5 mins.

1 star is too good for her. I made an appointment with her because so many dermatologists have a long wait to get an appointment. I waited over 45 mins in the waiting room and then when I got in the exam room Dr. Hoffman barely looked at me. She made her diagnosis from across the room without even touching me. She gave me a Prescription for cream and said to come back in 6 weeks. You couldn't pay me to go back to her. If you have a real medical concern, don't even consider her!

I have been to the Yorktown office more times than i can count, and each time was an ordeal. Every visit was for the same thing (a rash on my lips) after about 5 visits and countless random skin creams they finally opted for a biopsy, 2 weeks later i come back, had to pay another co-pay even though it was a follow-up, and they finally figured out it was eczema and then they tell me there is no cure. I think it's safe to say Dr. Hoffman is the worst doctor or any kind that I've been to.

Made an appt for a full body checkup and to look at a suspicious mole. Dr. Hoffman looked at my problem, gave me the clear and then told me I needed to reschedule the full body checkup because they were extremely busy. I complied, made another appt and when came for that appt they told me I was late and they needed to reschedule again. (Their scheduling error) I left. Going back to my Westchester dermatologist, It may be a drive but at least they are competent and nice. Horrible office.

I would not recommend this dermatologist. In addition to extremely long wait times both in the waiting and exam rooms (I tend to be more understanding of physicians that are called away for emergencies and surgeries and their office wait times. ), she seems to be making most of her money on the frequency of the visit (overbooking patients) verses proper treatments. As a child of a physician, I found her knowledge and communications skills extremely poor.

She is focused on beauty appointments, if you have a medical issue do yourself a favor and DRIVE farther to a medical group associated with a medical center and hospital. It's worth the commute! Your health is too important, don't get booked for appointments after Botox patients who pay out of pocket.

First of all the staff at this place is just rude especially whoever Judy is and the woman at the front desk, the older one. I went in there to by a product and they were understaffed and the woman just had an Atitude with me from the second I walked in. Also I feel like this dr is rather flaky and is just guessing half the time. I only go there is I absolutely have to. They need more dermatologists in this area

We have been going to the Carmel offfice for about three years and the wait time has become one hour. Why not just make my appointment for an hour later? When I spoke to the receptionist they didn't seem to care.

My wife called and was connected to the Yorktown office on Wednesday 2/10 at around 3 pm. Receptionist on the phone was extremely rude and not capable of handling a simple appointment request for our son. The receptionist acted burdened and upset when asking my wife about what insurance we have. Wife tried to explain but was spoken over, not able to get in a word while the receptionist just kept speaking in a high tone. My wife hung up on her and made an appointment elsewhere.
