Dr Newman & FNPs are great
Dr Newman takes time to ask questions & listens to the answers, as do the FNPs I've seen here. Knowledgeable and patient. Waiting times depend on how many ahead, but I've not had to wait an unreasonable time. Usually fairly quick. The staff now there seem more efficient and invested in their work than some past staffs. I like that the lab is part of the clinic. I gladly recommend!

Horrible
I started here as a patient about 20 years ago. Everyone was awesome. The Nurse Practitioners, Dr. Newman, office staff was great. So great, I got my entire family, some church members and neighbors on board. They were very compassionate and provided detailed patient centered care.Something has changed there in the last 3 years. They are only money centered. No longer care for the patients. Attitudes are horrible. Very argumentative. Not trust worthy. Started me on some medication. Started having side effects. Heart palpitations. Feeling ill. Asked if they can do labs and ekg. Informed they didn’t have strips. VAMC requested medical records. Sent to 6 physicians. Received from everyone but this office. I had to pay for $30 for 30 pages to ensure records got to VA timely. Asked to speak to Dr. Newman about concerns. Her name is on the building. Was informed, “you can’t talk to her without an appointment “. It’s sad! This was a great PCP. Lost of compassion.

Poor care
You see Dr. Newman on your first visit then your care is managed by a NP. While some of the NP are knowledgeable others are not as good. If you want to see a doctor this is not the practice for you. They refer all complaints to specialists and there is no continuum of care by Dr. Newman. Getting patients in and out seems to be the goal. While her staff is alway nice calls are not returned.

My family all go to Dr. Newman's office and we typically see the FNPs. We've found all to be very caring and competent and always listen and never rush us. The Phlebotomist is excellent--she's never had to stick me more than once which is unusual for me . And, we always receive call backs with our test results. We've never had any issues with long waits with appointments. I would highly recommend Dr. Newman and her staff. Rebecca Doss

I love Dr. Newman and her FNPs. I left a clinic where, while I almost always saw a doctor, they were short with patients and the staff was just plain incompetent and rude. It was like a breath of fresh air finding Dr. Newman's office. She sees my entire family and asks about all of us when she sees any of us. She is truly interested in our issues. She and her staff ask questions and make sure we understand what to do. I know it is wishful thinking, but I hope I never have to find another doctor ever again.

Dr. Newman has been our Dr for almost 10 years. She is smart, very knowledge in many areas. During last year when Covid was at the worse in our area, she more than complied. She e en had her clinic open outdoors in the back of the building waiting on patients who stayed in their card. The office help and NPs had tables with all supplies there. They did Televisits, also. Then earlier in this year, her husband contacted Covid and died.

She might be an amazing doctor, but she farms most of her appointments to nurse practitioners without giving her patients a choice. This is a really bad way to run a clinic.

I can not recommend this Doctor and her clinic for the following reasons: This is a clinic with 1 Doctor and 3 Nurse Practitioners, Doctor rarely sees anyone. Was a patient there for 4 years and only saw Doctor in a hallway in passing during that time. Go here at your own risk!

I can never see the doctor. Always nurse practitioners, it’s very frustrating when you have an ongoing condition. Wait times are awful so they are nice but medical problem does not get proper follow up cause the doctor is not in

Dr. Newman has very poor bedside manner. She interrupts patients when they talk. I will never return because the wait times are awful even with an appointment. The staff is rude and unprofessional. There are a few good clinics in this area but I would advise you to exclude this one.

Dr. Newman and the entire staff are very professional and it seems to me their main focus is total thorough patient care. I've been a patient of theirs for over 3 years. The office is open 7 days a week! This is a huge value for those that work, or for those patients that must rely on family/friends to take them on the weekends. I wish you didn't have to listen to a rather lengthy message only to leave a voice mail! However, they DO CALL YOU BACK WITHIN AN ACCEPTABLE TIME FRAME!

I have never seen this doctor only a FNP. The nurse triage is a baby and is rude with no compassion. She treats people like they are cows putting them in another room to wait. I waited 2 1/2 hours after that was sent to Er. If it was such an emergency why did they make me wait so long!! They justify but never treat properly. Medically or professionally.

You can not see Dr. Newman. When you ask to see her, you are told that if she decides to not see patient's then you have no choice. The staff never call patient's back nor are you allowed to speak to the FNP. They don't talk to patients on the phone nor does the nurse call you is what I was told. Completely unhappy with this facility.

I read the review that said the waits are long and they can be if you don't have an appointment. The main reason is because Dr. Newman and the FNP take their time and listen. They truly care about their patients. The no me by name, they know my health conditions and they care!!!!

Wait times are always very long. My mother rarely sees Dr. Newman but one of the FNPs. It is difficult to get in if she is sick so we will typically go to a Minor Medical. I'm not please with this office but my mother refuses to change doctors as she has been a patient here for several years.
