Wonderful Doctor
I have been a patient of Dr. Kwon's for about 9 years. He is very talented and has many years of experience. I have referred friends to him, and they have been happy with the care they receive. Having (unfortunately) needed Pysch care for most of my adult life, it is incredibly difficult to even get an appointment as most are not even accepting new patients. Dr. Kwon works 7 days a week and his services are in demand. I've witnessed patients that make appointments seeking meds and get angry that he will not wantonly write prescriptions for new patients. If one is looking for a competent Doctor who is experienced and wants you to be your best, Dr. Kwon is the best. For anyone Dr shopping or med seeking, he isn't for you.

Very unprofessional. He double books people so you always have to wait for one or two people before you finally get through the door. The waiting room is just folding chairs. The office is a complete mess. There are stacks upon stacks of files and unopened mail sprawled out all over the floor. You sign in on a clipboard and cover your name with a magnet (that’s how much effort he puts into keeping your information private). The only thing Kwon is good for is getting you on a quick medication. He does not care about you. He asked me the same question every time I visited and he never remembered the answer. When he asked how the medications were working and I said “not well enough”. He asked “why is that?” Mind you HE’S the doctor. He should be answering that question. Also I always responded with “childhood abuse.” That’s the answer he never remembered so it constantly felt like I had to defend why I was always feeling so bad. Also forget expecting a returned email or call.

I have been with dr Kwon for over 4 years. See him monthly. He has always treated me with respect and kindness. He asked all appropriate questions to make sure I’m handling my triggers. He makes to sure to inquire of my home life and professional life. He always answers my calls or emails. He is flexible with my appointment if a have to reschedule. Once I thought I needed to readmitted inpatient and he was only to organize the admission so I was seen right away. I didn’t have to go but I felt so reassurance and support. He maybe a bit unconventional, but aren’t we all to a degree? I can’t spork highly enough about the care he has given me and continues. I feel fortunate that I found him years ago.

Does not care about your wellbeing at all. Ignores phone calls and meetings, pretends to have no idea what you're taking about when confronted. Gives no helpful feedback. Just wastes your time and takes your money. Had an appointment at 5:30 and was surprised to find another patient go in before me when I came on time. Waited 45 mins until I was seen. Found out that everyone in that room had an appointment for 5:30. He schedules appointments and yet sees people on a first come first serve basis.

Joke of a Doctor – Jul 06, 2018
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Kwon?
I have social anxiety and when I found that out I finally thought I could get the treatment I really needed but this doctor told me to get out immediately and go back to my first psychiatrist. This doctor is incredibly rude and does not care for your wellbeing. I don’t think he should be a psychiatrist at all. Please do not waste your time and energy going to this doctor.

Dr. Kwon has been my psychiatrist for over 2 years, and Is extremely kind, thoughtful, and highly dependable. Dr. Kwon’s approach is very straight forward and succinct, a benefit to patients like me who have only a limited amount of time for appointments. He doesn’t maintain an administrative staff, but responds timely to patient calls and will frequently go above and beyond regular hours to assist patients who require urgent care.

I have never worked with a doctor who is as bizarre and unprofessional as Dr Kwon. His office is filthy and cluttered to the point of concern. He has no receptionist. No regular hours. He takes all phone calls while seeing patients. We listen to his conversations while he chats. All patients pay $30 cash - regardless of your actual copay - unless you're on Medicaid. All patients have the same appointment time. I don't see him anymore b/c his treatment of my issue was terrible. Stay away.

This doctor spends no time whatsoever with you at your appointment time. He may spend a total of @ 3 mins tops. He does NOT care what you're going through mentally. He's extremely rude and only wants to do the very bare minimum. It was like pulling teeth just trying to get him to call the pharmacy to fix his own mistake. He refuses to increase your medications mgs after you've been on them for over a year & your system had built a dilettante to to them or your need for the medication is stronger
