Dr. Chrystal Chang, MD

I originally met Dr. Chang while attending an appointment for my father. Dr. Chang is an amazing person and Doctor. She thoroughly explained everything needed to be done for my father. She answered all of our questions and assured us that Dad was in good hands. Dr. Chang installed an AUS for Dad which required multiple surgeries. Afterwards, Dr. Chang stayed in close communication with my parents throughout the healing process. I don't think I've ever met such an incredible, personable Surgeon. About a year later, I personally had a terrible experience with a local Urologist. After not feeling comfortable about the recommendations made, I immediately made an appointment with Dr. Chang. Again, Dr. Chang was amazing and provided me with a clear process to adhere to in the future. I will never go to another Urologist again. My family trusts her completely. Thank you, Dr. Chang!!!

Dr. Chang greatly changed my quality of life . I have had severe incontinence for over 3 years due to the past amount of radiation that affected my spinchter muscle. She came highly recommended by my other gifted , kind urologist, Dr. Velez. I was dubious and frightened to have this artificial urinary pump inserted in me. Both assured me this should alleviate the amount of leaking and dripping I had. As a Zumba fit instructor, I finally decided to chance it . Well, both urologists teamed up and performed the surgery. I was in excellent hands .As they both stated, “We are going to take care of you.” They did. My operation was successful! It’s a miracle! I’m not dripping or leaking all day and night . My life has pleasantly changed. No more wearing thick pads everyday and sleepless nights. I am thankful and grateful to both of them ! I definitely recommend Dr. Chang as your next urologist as well as Dr. Velez at RWJH New Brunswick!

Dr. Chang was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous and thorough, every step of the way and took the time to explain the issue I was having and what needed to be done to correct the problem. I have seen a lot of doctors in my lifetime, and she Is one of the best I have ever seen.

Dr. Chang initiated the conversation very friendly made me feel very comfortable to express my questions and concerns on enlarged prostate. She briefly answered processionally and convincing me what is the best decision toward the possible development in the future.

Had a very good experience with my surgery with Dr. Chang. She's very thorough and also very available for responding to questions during recovery. Throughout the process, she gave me a great deal of confidence in her ability and in her concern for how I was doing. Would definitely recommend her

Dr. Chang was amazing to sit and talk to and she directed me and informed me so efficiently and like a friend on what to expect. She has a fantastic plain language bedside manner, and I would recommend her to anyone having a similar issue.

My brother has had issues for many years including multiple severe infections due to strictures. Other urologists tried to fix and were unable to. When we went to see Dr Chang for his consult, she was fully aware of all his medical issues. She read his very extensive chart. She would periodically touch base with us and let us know what she needed done before his procedure. She called she didn’t have office staff call. Always very pleasant and truly cares about my brother. She takes her time with her patients. She is the most caring Dr I have dealt with in ages. I would whole heartedly recommend her to everyone!

She is very honest and tells you like it is. She has a great bed side manner and you can see she really cares.
