Xenophobic
This individual is not even my provider, yet she managed to destroy my birth experience with her xenophobic and ignorant comment, "[t]his isn't Russia, no one is out to get you." Considering that I was already upset b/c my family members could not be present during the birth of my child due to the Russia-Ukraine war, such a comment was uncalled for and ruined what was supposed to be the happiest moment of my life.

Worst OB/GYN experience ever
I scheduled an appt. w/ Dr. Capet in Aug. of 2021 b/c I'd been unsuccessful trying to conceive for 5 months. In addition I was experiencing severely painful periods/ extreme bloat. She rushed through the appt., berated me for coming in (since I hadn't been trying for 1 yr), suggested I was too thin (despite my healthy BMI) + told me nothing was wrong (post blood test/ultrasound). I followed up in Feb. of 2022 b/c we were still unsuccessful conceiving. I suggested, based on my own research, that I might have endometriosis-- a diagnosis she vehemently denied + instead referred me to a gastroenterologist/ recommended IUI. She was so rude + dismissive during the appt. that I started sobbing (I have NEVER cried in a Dr's office in my adult life). I switched physicians after this where in my first appt. it was discovered that I had uterine polyps (described as a natural IUD) and suspected endometriosis. I wasted precious time with Dr. Capet who refused to listen to my valid concerns.

worst obgyn experience ever
christy was awful. i never ever leave reviews but i need to. i know it’s difficult to find doctors you love, but this woman made me feel extremely unheard, disrespected, judged, uncomfortable, and intimidated. no doctor should make a patient feel this way- especially one who works with the most intimate area of our bodies. she was short with me, rushed the appointment, didn’t care to hear what i had to say at all. was extremely condescending and had the biggest attitude with me. i have never left a doctors office crying as much as i did when i left my appointment with her. she did nothing physically to me, but because she made me feel so uncomfortable with her words and tone- i felt violated during the physical exam. i was extremely clenched up down and there and tense and did not feel comfortable with her touching me.

She treated our appointment like a military missio
It was the first open appointment. She treated our appointment like a military mission. She came in a rush and left in a rush. I was asking questions as she was walking out of the door because 4 min prior told me I may have an ovarian cyst. When I started bringing up some issues I’d been seeing she said “So you really came in for these problems not an annual exam?” A doctor should never shame you for coming in at all. I asked when I would know the results of my tests and she laughed and said, “Oh, these tests take days to come back. You’re not going to know today.” I left not knowing I had to get blood work because she never told me or when I was going to get my test results back. This was the worst I have ever felt leaving a doctors appointment and I came in with more concerns than I have ever had. Not only will I not return but I wouldn’t recommend her to any of my female friends or family members. At the end of the day she made me feel unimportant, unheard, and uncertain.

Dr Capet is very detail oriented and a thorough Doctor. Only thing which made me uneasy was her “judgmental” remarks about my physical appearance which i find very nonprofessional. Overall experience with her was fine.

The doctor, Christy Capet, was great. What is unacceptable is that all 3 prescriptions requested and that were to be filled, I had to follow up on. I was told they would be filled and they were not. The last prescription was needed rather urgently, and I made a trip to the pharmacy only to discover it was not sent in as promised. Your medical practice is only as good as your support staff, unfortunately in this case.

I had previously been to Austin Area about a year ago and had a great experience but last week was not up to the same standards. Last week I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Capet for an IUD removal because she was the doctor with the next available appointment. She rushed the appointment even though I told her I was very anxious and then she shamed me for my decision to remove it, despite that I am a very sexually safe person in a monogamous relationship. Then, she also shamed me for not coming in for a yearly check-up (I had had one, I just used a different doctor from my hometown). She also pushed a birth control gel on me and went so far as to call in a prescription for it, even though I did NOT ask her to and it made me very uncomfortable. Overall, I felt extremely disrespected and unheard.

First went for symptoms that 3 other OBGYNs had brushed off but I knew something wasn't right & Dr. Capet *immediately* knew what was going on. It had been 5 months of trying to get answers and she knew in 2 minutes. When we found out at a scan I was miscarrying, she was wonderful and did not give us any false hope. She was very thorough in follow up. She was good throughout my subsequent pregnancy and after a scary previous emergency c-section in the past, it was comforting to go into a scheduled c section with her as the doctor. Great follow up care as well. Treats you like you're intelligent, which I really appreciate! She will answer any questions but you have to be sure to speak up and ask them on busy days at the office. Great nurses too!

I have trusted Dr. Capet for years with my routine and acute gyn needs. I was lucky enough to choose her as my doctor after working with her in surgery and seeing her excellent skills as a surgeon. I knew I would likely need surgery in the future and wanted a doctor I could rely on. When the time came, I was able to proceed with confidence and am forever grateful for a safe & optimal outcome. Her staff - both front office & clinical is always welcoming, kind and professional.

Dr. Capet is highly professional, very informative and non judgmental. I’m a new patient and decided to go see her due to problems with my birth control. During my appointment she made me feel super comfortable and listened to my symptoms and concerns and answered all of my questions. My entire experience was positive and I plan on making her my permanent OBGYN.

Dr Capet is fine but she has a nurse named Amber who talked down to me when I told her that I was trying for a child. She told me with a very loud and shocked tone : “Forty—two!! You’re gonna try to have a baby at 42?!!!” I know it’s hard to have a child at my age, but no one in a health profession should ever talk down to someone who is trying to get pregnant, even if they are older. I cried for about ten minutes after she told me that.
