Dr. Christopher Wommack, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Wommack since we moved to Columbus two years ago, and have always been pleased with the time he spends discussing any issues I’m having, and recommending different options available. The entire staff is always very friendly as well, which makes a big difference when you’re not feeling your best.

I returned to Columbus after traveling for 40+ years (Engineer) to retire. I first had Dr. John Jenkins who was a great Doctor. However he left Horizon Diagnostics and I received the full-court press to stay with Horizon...so I did. I was assigned to Dr. Wommack. On my first visit, I felt as though I just came upon someone too busy to answer any questions. On visit four I wrote my questions down and once again like the previous visits he either ignored me or gave me a "smart" answer. As I have traveled I have been exposed to both good and "ok" doctors. I have never been exposed to a doctor which makes me wonder why I bothered to go see him. So I changed doctors and he, after 4 tries, is Not recommended.

He will not treat any female problems. If you ask him to, he'll send you a certified letter to not come back.

Dr. Wommack insisted on further testing after a “top” cardiologist dismissed my symptoms. I ended up being diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and had to have open heart surgery at Emory. I’m grateful for Dr. Wommack’s prompt attention. Also, wonderful office manager and awesome staff!

Be careful If life happens and you have a few missed appointments they will discharge you and leave you high and dry.

My wife and I have been patients of Dr Wommack's for 15 years. He is a thorough and does not make you feel rushed to explain issues. We trust his diagnosis and treatment explicitly. We believe that he saved my mother-in-law's life by diagnosing a blocked carotid artery when her previous physician had not. Ability to schedule urgent appointments is very good. Friendly staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wommack since I was in grade school so since around the year 2000. I have never had any issues with him or his staff. I had opportunities to visit other physicians once I reached adulthood but they were never as helpful or as thorough as Dr. Wommack. I recently met his PA, Leslie, and I love her as well! I went for one issue, she made sure that she also checked me in regards to my previous issues and also expressed her concern during my visit for unaddressed matters.

My whole family has become patients of Dr. Wommack in the last 2 years. He takes his time listening to you. I never feel rushed. He is the best there is! If I have a medical need arise and he can't see me that day, I see his P.A. Leslie. She is also wonderful. She truly cares for you and takes time to address what is bothering you. I wish we had switched to this office years ago. It's been a great experience.
