His advice, “well you know, it could be anything.” Brilliant. My GP nailed my prfirst visit. On a scale 1-10, I give him a zero.

Needs to stay current on developments in his field
Discouraged a procedure that I had explored, with a surgeon in Atlanta, in favor of a fundoplication, stating that he was unfamiliar with the alternative surgery. Unwilling to go the fundoplication route, I suffered for another year, then He proudly announced that a novel and promising procedure—the same one I had asked about the previous year— was available from a prominent surgeon in Atlanta. Apparently he forgot that it was a dumb idea when I proposed it. Fortunately, I did pursue the Linx procedure from Dr. Dan Smith in Atlanta, and it proved a life-altering Godsend for which I am grateful every day.

Stay away from this doctor!!
This doctor has a god complex. Following the endoscopy he did on me, he misdiagnosed my cancer and told me it looked like I had been throwing up. He is a terrible doctor.

Standing Ovation!
After speaking to two other gastroenterologists, 3rd time for certain was the charm. I chose Dr. Wells. I underwent a colonoscopy without sedation, by choice. He said he would work with me to keep me comfortable. He and his team absolutely did and talked me through the entire procedure. No pain! They were all perfect! The anesthesiologist who was on stand by, held my hand through it all. A perfectly choreographed event. I’m so grateful to all of them. Highly, highly recommended!

One of the best medical providers I have experienced anywhere in my 70+ years. This group is efficient, courteous and quite knowledgeable in their respective discipline. They even put me on cancellation standby for an earlier procedure and actually called me with a new time. The receptionists are very accommodating, can't say enough good things about the P.A., and Dr. Wells himself has an outstanding demeanor. The wait is nothing more than to be expected in any good doctor's office.

I have worked with all the gastroenterologists in Panama City. I selected Dr Wells as my physician because he is thorough, well educated, polite, on time, and well versed on the latest literature and techniques. He is focused on patient outcome rather than physician income. The treatment I received from him was no different than the treatment he gives all his patients.

Don't question the financial pay upon arrival policy or ask for a detailed bill, it may jeopardize you relationship with the doctor. Expect a long wait.

For any rare or unusual digestive disease conditions, I feel is he not up to date. I have GI dysmotility with a GI Pacer to make the stomach and J-Pouch work. With lack of knowledge doctors have a way of putting a glossy eye look in their eyes. But in his defense, all I needed was an colonoscopy. So it wasn't the medical experience I needed. The GI Center for the scope, I had 1 nurse come to me because she heard of the pacer and wanted to learn about it, the dr should have done the same thing
