Dr. Christopher Thomas, MD

As an attentive primary care physician, Christopher Thomas MD is an extraordinary gem. He offers a holistic approach to treat both mental and physical health combined. He is especially on top of the electronic medical chart, replying to all patient questions fully and promptly. Dr. Thomas is also particularly thoughtful about referrals. He recognizes when to seek specialist intervention, listening carefully to patient complaints that require expert follow-up. He ensures that his referrals contain specific and valuable diagnostic codes. I commend him highly as the best qualified general practitioner in the Capital District. Dr. Thomas is a highly experienced physician affiliated with St. Peter's Hospital -- in direct contrast to the typically careless doctors in the Albany Med System.

I scheduled a well visit. He asked how I was feeling. My only complaint was joint pain. He said I should see an orthopedist about that. Then he ordered blood work and dismissed me, never conducting a physical. Instead of being billed for a physical, I was billed IN FULL for a joint-pain consult, when the only advice I was given was 'yeah, you should see a doctor about that.' Waste of time and money. Spent 3 months disputing the charge with no success. Stay away.

This guy has many bad reviews and deserves them. Cannot properly diagnose you and doesn't really care. Will tell you to see another dr., and that it isn't his problem. I cannot believe he is licensed.

This man is apathetic and ignorant. There are many better doctors than him. Do not trust this man to give medical aid. If you have a problem, find someone else. It will save you time, and maybe your life.

I've had multiple appointments with him. He was distracted and whollyfully apathetic during each visit.

No BS with Chris. He LISTENS. Period. I’m 44 and have never been more comfortable with a provider. Always accommodating with assurance.
