Removing aneurism/replacing mechanical valve
In February 2022 my mother had an aneurism removed & replaced a mechanical valve with a soft tissue one. My mother & I were very anxious about the surgery because of her age. He assured me that if she was in slightest danger he wouldn't do it. He took the time to go everything to make all the anxiety go away. After a 10 1/2 hr surgery, he was very complete in what went on in those long hours & was right there whenever I needed him for questions in her stay recovery after the surgery. His whole team is absolutely incredible. I would recommend him and his team 1000%!! The BEST of the BEST!

Dr. Christopher Terrien - Quadruple Bypass Surgery
I am home recovering from my quadruple bypass surgery thanks to Dr. Terrien’s expertises. He preformed this surgery with skill and professionalism. He put my mind at ease with his reassuring upbeat manner. “Heart”felt gratitude and profound thankfulness is not enough for Dr. Terrien. SPH has more than a double plus with Dr. Terrien on staff. You’ll be in great hands with Dr. Terrien should the need arise. THANK YOU is not enough but . . .

Dr. Terrien-you performed a CABG on my husband approximately 6 years ago at SPH in Albany, NY. You are our angel! Since then my husband was diagnosed with bladder cancer with mets. It’s been a very difficult few years. My husband is stable with a wonderful team-Dr. Denniston and Dr. Rahman at SPH. You are one of our angels! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Dr Terrien preformed my triple bypass about 7 year's ago at St Peters in Albany with no problems. I had excellent care from start to finish. I can't say enough to thank everyone at the cardiology dept for saving my life and Dr Terrien is brilliant. Again, thank you all for everything everyone did to help me live another day.

On June 23 I was at my daughter's home in Albany. I awoke with chest pressure and great difficulty breathing Since I already have 9 stents, I knew it was a heart problem. My daughter rushed me to St Peter's Hosp. Dr. Winston did a heart catheterization and said I needed IMMEDIATE heart surgery. Dr. Terrien performed triple bypass surgery and said I had a blood clot on the main artery to my hrart. My family and I are so grateful to Dr. Terrien for saving my life. I am truly thankful for him.
