Dr. Christopher Stevens, MD

Dismissive, apathetic, and overall horrible bedside manner. This guy should be stuck behind a desk somewhere out of view. Threw me on opioids and antibiotics and told me to go see a surgeon for something that did not require surgery. Horrible horrible doctor.

My daughter went into urgent care for pain associated with her PCOS. When she told him this, he sent her to x-ray and diagnosed her with a stomach bug! She had no symptoms of a stomach bug, and when he pressed on her abdomen she had visible and audible pain. She requested an ultrasound and/or a CT based on the advice given by her mom (23 yrs as a trauma nurse). Steven’s response, “you have a stomach bug, and insurance won’t cover it… Maybe the ER will do one”. Daughter left and went to ER, they did an ultrasound and CT: 6cm cyst, 4cm cyst, ruptured cyst, cyst on kidneys, and free floating fluid in abdomen. Nope, it wasn’t a “stomach bug”, because they won’t recommend surgery for those. If you want good health care, avoid using his services.

I visited the urgent care to determine why my right hand fingers were swelling up, unfortunately Dr. Stevens was the physician that saw me that day. He offered no insight why it could be happening and was in there for 2-3 minutes before deciding to send me off for an X-Ray. I believe he didn't have any idea what the cause was and decided to just pass me on to X-Ray to get me out of his care. An X-Ray won't show why fingers are swollen. Dr Stevens would rather have you pay for procedures that aren't relative to your issue and then refer you to someone else after the results come back not showing anything. I asked why he wasn't doing any blood work and he stated that he didn't think it was necessary and that if I didn't want the X-Ray then said "you must know more than me" and walked out of the room. This guy embodies the reason why people distrust doctors.

Dr Stevens always under diagnosis me and Always to weak of antibiotics prescribed. I tell him this and he doesn't pay attention to me. Sure enough this dr did it again and will not call in stronger antibiotics to my pharmacy. Don't want to get into it all here. But the bottom line is you will not get better under his care and will have to come back to urgent care or find another dr to treat what dr. Stevens failed to do in the first place.
