Met him for the first time yesterday at the ER. What a smart guy! He gave me a brain scan which should have done the first time I came in after falling. We both suspected a concussion. So I am taking it easy. THANKS!

My husband experienced extreme abdominal pain while we were vacationing in Seaside recently. We went to the ER where we were treated extremely well by the personable Nurse Autumn and Dr. Smart. Turns out that the doc specialized in abdominal issues through his own personal experience. He took the time to explain it all, in addition to normalizing our angst over the diagnosis. Just don’t get him going on his “crappy” jokes. ?? My husband began to heal and Dr. Smart was nice enough to follow up with a personal phone call two days later to make sure all was good. We highly recommend Dr. Smart!!!

After 15 years of ER visits and getting sent home with a diagnosis of “eating disorder” or “anxiety”, Dr. Smart actually pulled up a chair and listened to me when I landed in his ER with an extreme symptom flare up. He was empathetic, and I left with a referral to see a specialist, which no one else would ever do for me. You gotta get past his “old school” personality. His rather abrasive humor caught me off guard at first but I realized it’s his ice breaker. This man probably saved my life, simply by believing me. I cannot possibly give him less than 5 stars.

When I saw the review with the 5 stars I thought only someone on his staff would write that !! He is probably the worst Doctor - He is rude to patients and when he is talking with one it is loud enough for everyone (other patients) to hear. He will talk to you like you are his inferior and in a condescending manner - I would be very surprised to hear he has not be sued for malpractice - Notice to all - FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. !!!!!
