Dr. Christopher Rheams, MD

I used him for years. He is one of the smartest, most caring compassionate doctors I know and I've not only been his patient, but a nurse for 30 years. I've sent all of my family and friends to him and they love him as well!!!

Dr. Christoper Rheams was the treating physician of our father, Harry Fox, resident of Live Oak Nursing Home located in Shreveport, Louisiana. Dr. Rheams visited his patient periodically. Dad became ill and could not make it to the physician’s office. Many calls were made to Dr. Rheams’s office during one week for him to come see his patient, to no avail. Eventually, Dr. Rheams sent his PA to see dad. The PA did nothing. The patient died of undiagnosed pneumonia. When forced to give a statement concerning his actions, Dr. Rheams stated why were my mother and myself so upset about my father’s death as he was not the man he use to be?

Assigned as hospitalist to me. Saw him only right before I left. Came in, put his card down, folded his arms and said, "This is how you are going to die." When I complained to the hospital, he lied, denied saying it and told them I was drugged. I was not. I had to be in ICU because I am allergic. Had he read my chart, he would have known. He was cruel, as if I was a bad child who wrecked the car. He had never seen me before and that was his opening line? Cruel, dishonest man.
