Wonderfully talented and compassionate doctor.
Dr Harrod's PAs are attentive to what a person has to say about symptoms and convey test results in an easy to understand way (but without being condescending, which I appreciate enormously.)

No professionalism
Waited over 2 hours to be told by a rude receptionist that basically other more important people are ahead of me. Was told he was reviewing my mri results and would be with me shortly which was laughable. He didn’t look at the mri results until I was standing next to him. He took all of 5 minutes “explaining “ and became irritated when I started asking questions. He then quickly gathered my check out sheet in his hand and said follow me. Handed my paper to the receptionist person, told her what to do and walked away. “Very classy and professional.”Perhaps he’s overworked and very good at what he does. I’ll never find out. The kicker is another bone and joint doctor that I see and respect dearly suggested I see him because he felt dr Harrod was the next step in my healing. Unfortunate just extremely unfortunate.

Door to Provider greater than 2 hrs with appt!!
First visit with NP. Wait time from door to provider 2.5 with a scheduled appointment. Follow up scheduled for results of MRI scheduled evening before. Appt 2pm. 445 still had not seen MD for result. The exam rooms are too cold for 1-2 hr wait closed up. I left I could wait no longer. Sadly I still may be billed. At this point the Dr. Owes me for failure to keep appt.Thank goodness the card reader was down . I was expected to pay another copay even though this visit was a follow up from the MRI ordered from the initial visit. I lost 3 hours of work today. Another 3 hours for visit # 1. I don’t see a balanced cost/benefit. A lot of money to freeze and wait. My appointment was at 2 at 435 I had still not seen a provider. The office doesn’t communicate the wait times. Very inconsiderate of patient’s time

Confused about wait time
Loved his PA. Spent more time with the PA than the actual doctor. My appointment time was at 10:45 and I arrived 15 minutes earlier than my appointment time as instructed. However, didn't see the doctor/PA till 1:08 a 2.25-hour wait. I'm assuming they are way overbooked. I have another appointment in December...will see how that goes.

Went for a simple outpatient procedure, still in rehab 1 month later. Went in to get stitches removed, sat in waiting room 3 hours in a wheelchair. Could not get answers as to what happened. Over books, not sensitive to patient need. Very disappointed!

After 2 visits and him never introducing himself, a weak handshake, taking 3 weeks to get the 2nd appointment (bc the staff never answers the phone), to be charged a co-pay to get my results then another co-pay to see the Dr who would actually do an injection, I requested my file and will go elsewhere for an injection. Let’s not forget the staff member steadily eating at her desk while she’s dealing with me.

I was amazed that I called on Monday, had a MRI scheduled for Tuesday and appointment with Dr. Harrod on Wednesday. It was the second time his PA was able to correctly assess my problem before Dr. Harrod even came in the exam room. Keepers, both of them!! Very very satisfied with all of B&J staff! A well-run operation which focuses on the patient! Excellent!!

Dr Harrod is an excellent surgeon. I can’t thank him enough for performing my spinal fusion. He was very thorough when explaining my condition, treatment options, and treatment plan. I’m a veteran and I have Medicare. I know he didn’t get paid much for doing my surgery but he did a grade A job. I would recommend him to all my family, friends, and strangers.

Dr. C. Harrod is a brilliant surgeon, he did surgery for a pinched nerve on my spine, I had numbness in my hand, finger with my leg giving out sometime when I walked, Dr. Harrod, stated everything that my body would do with this pinched nerve, everything he stated to me I had already experienced without my telling him anything about my back or leg where the problem was. I recommend Dr. C. Harrod neck, back or cervical spine surgery

I would not recommend this doctor to treat a dog. I was referred to him by another orthopedic doctor. I had to wait 3 hours to see him. All he did was dictate on his dictaphone and rushed through it. He was talking so fast that my husband and I couldn’t understand what he was saying. He never explained anything. All he he did was write a note for me to give to the referring doctor. I left that left that office clueless. I will never him again!

Dr. Harrod fixed a very extensive back problem that should have been done by another surgeon twelve years ago. He corrected the problem and alleviated my pain and I will be forever in his debt for doing his job to the best of his ability. If all surgeons were as dedicated...there would be less patients using opiates to manage the excrutiating pain left behind after inadequate judgement calls. He was totally honest, respectful, and dedicated to fixing the problem. Great office staff.

A prior surgery by another doctor did not give any relief to left leg pain that was bad enough to keep me from walking or standing for more than 10 minutes. And I used to run marathons and wanted to be very active in retirement. Dr. Harrod performed surgery and I can now jog / ride a bicycle. He gave me my life back. The only negative is that he is typically ran 60-75 minutes behind schedule but he is absolutely worth that small inconvenience.
