He saw both my husband& I together for different reasons. He is very understanding, listens and explains things so we understand. We like his manner and kindness.

Dr.Gist removed my stent in matters of seconds . I was a little nervous so when he removed stent I grabbed his arm and I yelled f…Didn’t expect that to happen as he removed the stent . It was hilarious.and he made me feel very comfortable. He realized I was nervous so he started joking around how my purse and phone matched . He has a great sense of humor . Keep up the good work.

Wonderful experience with Dr. and staff. Very accomidating. Dr. listened and immediately had a plan to follow. Best Urologist I have seen in Arizona and New Jersey

Thank you Dr. Gist for your professionalism. You have taken very good care of my mom. Your office staff is very friendly and kind. Considering the circumstances and seeing my mom going through bladder cancer, you and your staff have been a blessing.

He has NO Bed-Side manner, plus thinks he is always right about everything - he will NOT listen to his patient.....Me!!

I would go lower if I could. My dad was being treated by him. It was a very difficult time for me and my family and Mr. Gist made it much worse. My father was hospitalized for pneumonia and had ?? ng issues. While he was there they noticed he was retaining fluids. After a week in the hospital he was ready to be released. We had a flight to catch to go back to our home state. Mr. Gist purposely held us up to miss the flight. We ended up having to leave AMA. Looking into his background and other reviews I would strongly advise not using him. His bedside manners were atrocious.

The facility is dirty, saw another patient's pee cup in the lobby trash can.Dr. Gist has a heavy hand with surgery. Prepare for a painful experience, rushed pre-op and false post-op instructions. Per other Doctors from Banner the procedure should've been painless, but with Gist I was miserable.He is running a business here. You're a transaction, not a patient.

I left a detailed message with the medical assistant. I even indicted that I was in pain.my call was never returned.

I thought Dr.GIST was finally the Dr. I had been looking for. After he released me from the hospital I was given an appointment for Stent removal. His office seemed a bit strange compared to all the Dr. offices I had Been in. For instance, the girl at the check in desk was the same helper during Stent. That room was bare and only one patient bed and the Stent removal apparatus. On e removed he announced that I may still have 2 stones remaining. He said he would order a CT scan. To this day I have never received that order nor been able to reach him. I have tried multiple phone numbers and left several messages. It's been since the 18th of July 2023, today is August 6th 2023.

As a health care professional my expectations are high. His office is understaffed. He rushed the appointment and I didn't feel heard. He didn't explain things thoroughly and I feel bad for people who don't have experience in medicine to recognize faults in the care he is providing. Communication between him/his staff and patients is terrible. I would not recommend anyone see this provider.

After he performed the surgery he left town I've been looking for him for 11years many complications since.

Excellent listener. My 80 year old father has some pretty serious kidney problems. Dr. Gist gathered medical information from a variety of providers, listened to our concerns, explained his opinion and recommendation, and helped us decide on treatment. Too bad he left Rust. We're going to have to chase him down.
