Dr. Farnitano just resigned as CCHS Health Officer. This is one of the best days in Contra Costa in recent memory. I do not know what type of man he is, nor do I know what type of personal family physical he is. I do know that as CCHS Health Officer he has completely shifted into draconian health mandates that have severely hurt many residents in CCC. I do believe that, in his mind, he was doing this for the good of the residents. However, once data showed that his mandates were causing irreparable harm to CCC beyond the COVID Pandemic, he was unwilling to shift tracks. Instead, he doubled down on mandates and created great social harm to CCC. I'm very happy he has resigned and I do hope his replacement is more teachable and has a broader understanding of Public Health than Dr. Farnitano had.

Under his “care” and instruction, his recommendations did not follow a practical approach for wellness, continued treatment which made the problem worse.

Wanted to inject my baby with a COVID vaccine and told me natural immunity doesn't exist. This man is a quack.

I've been seeing Dr. Farnitano for about three or four years. He is the BEST! He listens carefully, and considers patient in-put. He is intelligent, calm, respectful and thinks 'outside the box'. His aim is to get his patients off medication, rather than prescribing more. He never rushes his patient, and makes sure that they have all their questions answered. Dr. Farnitano deserves an A+ in every category. He is gift!
