Dr. Christopher Chaput, MD

I like that he wasn't eager to do surgery, like most surgeons are. He answered my questions to my satisfaction and pointed out possible outcomes of various treatments. He laid out several options for the future -- considering my lifestyle, level of activity, age and family responsibilities -- and we agreed to try physical therapy first, then follow up in several months. He is apparently not the kind of doctor who pushes a patient to have complicated procedures done, but will be candid with you about the current state of your health, what can be done to improve it, and what could happen if you do nothing. As with any doctor, you should come to your appointment prepared with questions. He answers them very well, and won't hurry you out of the exam room.

Excellent service

Being given a lot of information all at once is a lot to process. More importantly, the notes aren't always correct. My notes for this visit said that I was asked to walk on my heels and toes. This did not occur. I feel that whoever inputs these notes are often using a template and they don't adjust as they should. This could lead to an incorrect diagnosis, and medical staff should be 100% precise and honest about what happens during a visit, and not rely on templates if they don't update the template.

The quality of care shown by Dr. Chaput and the staff is the core reason I choose to drive to San Antonio from Corpus Christi. I constantly rave to everyone about the great experiences I have had at MARC.
