Great physician who cares about his patients
On my last consultation Dr. Burkes was concerned about my back health and due to the severity and difficulty of gaining access in order to complete a triple lift it would require both front and back access. To relieve the sciatic nerve pain a single lift would do, but he said that it would only cause further problems later. He also recommended a second option of going to a specialist that does triple lifts more frequently.

Amazing Doctor
Thankful we seen Dr. Burks, we had previously seen another Dr who gave us the run around and we left the office with more questions than answers.. We then seen Dr Burk who too the time to review charts and was knowledgeable on past visits with the other Dr.... He found the root of the issue and explained in great detail his finding .... I would recommend Dr Burk to anyone who is in need of an orthopedic.... His nurses and the office staff were amazing as well!!

I had the best experience possible. The staff were so sweet and the nurses were funny and disarming. Thank you Dr. Burks I think you fixed me!!!! My surgery was yesterday. I made my husband bring them donuts I was so happy with them!!!!!

Great orthopedic surgeon & staff
I hope I don’t have another neck surgery. However, I would definitely go back to Dr. Burks if so. He, his nurses, office staff, and surgery center crew were all very warm, attentive and concerned about my well being.

Health advocate
Dr. Burks has made me feel he is as much an advocate for my health and well being as I am. He has fought for me against my insurance for care. He has assisted me with clarity regarding my health plan and relieved my anxieties. I have definitely felt his care has been patient centered.

Can' say enough
Dr Burks did a 3 implant process in my very painful sacroilliac joint and 24 hours later I am very happy. This was my 10th visit to the Bienville Surgery center and I can't say enough about the staff there. Their efficiency and personality make me know I'm in good hands. Dr. Burks and I have a lot more to do on my back, but I am confident it will get done.

great experience
Dr. Burks diagnosis was spot on and so was his plan for treatment. He explained clearly and completely my options. He did not talk down to me. He has a comfortable bedside manner. I Highly recommend him. I had moved to the coast over a year ago so I had to find a new surgeon on the coast or I could drive back to Flowood Mississippi. So glad I found Dr. Burks.

Was wonderful. Has an excellent bedside manner. Did not rush me into surgery. Very knowledgeable and could explain everything to my satisfaction. Staff was courteous and helpful. Was kept informed at all times during surgery. Would highly recommend. Had a cervical fusion and cervical discectomy.
