Not compassionate
Expect the patient to make all the appointments for testing. I have always had the doctors office schedule appointments for testing. Explained to him and his nurse that they would need to call for scheduling. I was treated as if it were my fault.

I would not recommend Dr. Bowman
After an emergency room visit and a referral to Dr. Bowman I called his office to make an appointment . No one answered the phone but I was instructed to leave a message and they would return my call. I waited 36 hours and there was no response. I called again and left a message. Ascension Mid-town followed-up with me and asked if I had contacted Dr. Bowman for a follow-up letting me know that the hospital had forwarded my information to him and asked that he contact me. I called for the 3rd time ( plus the emergency room doctor's contact to the office). The office did not respond. I question Dr. Bowman's ability to organize his office and his whole practice.

I think Dr. Bowman is a WONDERFUL endo! He listens to all of your questions and concerns and answers them in a way that you will understand. He doesn't just "tweak your insulin" like what was said in another comment before explaining why. And he does talk about diet and will send you to a dietician if you choose. I'm a nurse and I recommend him 100%. Him and his staff are very friendly and efficient.

He seemed okay at first but learned he's very dismissive and comes across as annoyed with you in emails. Kept tweaking my insulin rather than addressing the root issue which was my diet. I have found this to be the typical endo response and then blame you when their plan isn't working. I went back to my family doctor.

Former patient – Mar 11, 2021

Not good!!! I’m an rn as well and this dr dismissed a lot. If you are a noncompliant diabetic or you have Hashimotos, he’s your guy. He does nothing for hormones which is part of the endocrine system. Absolute and complete waste of time and money. I am being charged with a new patient visit when I’m never going back to him. Hard lesson to learn
