Does not listen
Every visit I had with Dr. Abercrombie he just did NOT listen. He would cut me off as I was explaining and provide alternate explanations without listening to my symptoms. Because I was young and at a normal weight all my issues were dismissed as “stress.” It was horrible. He never looked at me when we met either. It felt like he was just biding his time until retirement. I switched and it’s like night and day.

I tried to have a visit BUT.... I had a medical issue so I contacted his office thru the MyMercy website, which is what their phone message told me to do. I was told to set up an e-visit, which I spent a couple hours doing because I couldn't get my insurance card uploaded and there was a giant form of questions. I waited TWO days for my e-visit and cancelled MY clients for the day so I would have no interruptions. They waited until the morning of the e-visit, deleted my appointment, called me and told me to go to the urgent care because they don't see patients that have symptoms and told me to come back to establish as a NEW patient AFTER the urgent care treats me. I could have gone to the urgent care TWO DAYS AGO. I should have been told TWO DAYS AGO. I would have been cured by now. They should have kept my e-visit, fixed my medical issue and then I could have come in after that. The office manager knew they were in the wrong and hung up on me. I will be filing a complaint wi

The doctor and his self righteous staff might give you quality healthcare - AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT OVER WEIGHT!!! I struggle with anxiety, and I was told to join weight watchers!!! This is after he prescribed me 3 new medications and didn't feel at all that I could be having a bad reaction to the new meds... 3 of his staff insisted I lose weight to improve my anxiety! It would have been nice for them to be as concerned about my mental health as they were about me loosing weight!

Let Down in Arnold, MO – May 10, 2016

Just pushed pills instead of trying to actually fix problems, it would always be another pill, usually a narcotic. A lot of his scripts were written to where it broke the FDA standards/guidelines. Anytime I would be in his office, I would be talking to him an he would just be pecking away on his computer, not even making eye contact. I will never go back there. I am now seeing a 5 star Dr an let me tell you, its like night and day! I cant believe I waited this long to seek another Dr.
