Dr. Christine Gutierrez, MD

Went to her for my annual exam. At first she seemed caring although she told me to stop talking as she was looking at my chart. Exam was painful and I also pain after for the rest of the day which hasn’t happened in the past. She said she would let me know what my results mean when they come in. Results came in after a week. When I asked what they meant, she wouldn’t tell me unless I paid her for a full appointment. Her telling me what results mean would have taken 5 - 10 minutes, I even asked for just an email. The fee is fairly high as she’s considered a specialist under my insurance. I called and emailed multiple times and got ghosted (was told she would get back to me each time and nothing). Never had a doctor try to extort money from me, results readout have always been included in the appointment I paid a pretty penny for. This is a policy that isn’t disclosed when the appointment is booked probably because if they disclosed it, no one would see her.

My annual exam with Dr. Gutierrez was horrific. She spent about 1 minute giving me a breast exam. When I tried to ask her a question about hormone testing due to my age, she cut me immediately with a 'No' and no further explanation. She made me feel stupid and bothersome for asking questions about my health even though it was my annual woman's exam. The most energy she expended was asking me if I wanted to test for STD's and that she could not guarantee that it would be covered by insurance. When I mentioned I was also seeking fertility treatment, she tried to sell me on the fertility clinic associated with the hospital she works for. She asked me intrusive questions about my job instead of spending time answering questions about my health. I am horrified by the non-existent level of care she gave.

Dr. Gutierrez is amazing. I have been seeing her for a few years now and I continue to go to an inconvenient location because I can't imagine switching doctors. I have had multiple and various procedures done with her, and she had made me feel as comfortable as possible through each of them. Her staff is also incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Gutierrez.

Horrible from start to finish. Long wait time, in the waiting area and in the room before seeing Dr. Gutierrez (30 minutes in waiting room and 35 minutes in room). She had odd bedside manner, didn't make me feel comfortable, didn't listen to concerns, and misdiagnosed me. After getting abnormal results back, she failed to prescribe me medicine until I reached out to ask for it. She also ignores follow up messages. DO NOT GO TO HER

Tried to shove birth control pills down my throat even though they interfere with my seizure medicine

My experience with Dr. Gutierrez was not a good one. She was my first two appointment ma when I was initially pregnant and I did everything in my power to rebook with the other doctor to not have to se her. She’s nice but does not seem confident and seems unsure. She has a poor approach to discussions. Of course she was the doctor on call when I went into labor and I was not happy but I was thankful because I knew she wouldn’t be delivering me. I called in twice - once for bleeding and once because my water broke and I had a slow leak. When I called she tried telling me it was not my water and it was other bodily fluids. She told me not to come in but i insisted. Glad I did because my water broke (not entirely but slow leak like I thought) and I was having contractions three minutes apart that I didn’t even feel. So glad I didn’t listen to her! Unbelievable. I will not see her for my next pregnancy.

Dr. Guiterriez took care of me during two pregnancies. She is patient, kind, knowledgeable and puts you at ease. I think she is excellent.

This practice is horrible and impossible to schedule appointments unless you do it way in advance. I’ve had bad experiences with both docs. They are insensitive and not personable.

She was great . I would recommend her!

Dr Gutierrez is a superb doctor. We are fortunate that she wasn't present to deliver our baby c section after his cord wrapped around neck twice. She never forced us, only gave her professional advice but also left an opportunity for us to decide what we wanted since she knew I had wanted (and previously had) a natural vaginal birth. She is a compassionate, caring, warm, and knowledgeable doctor. I definitely recommend her!

Saw some bad reviews so I was nervous going in, but Dr Gutierrez was really wonderful. No she's not some upbeat cheerleader, but are any of them? I thought she was super nice, helpful and took her time with me. Complete opposite of the bad reviews I saw. I have a high risk pregnancy and felt good in her care. I would be happy to see her again and have her deliver my baby.

We saw Dr Gutierrez about a month ago in Hackensack. From the schedule left on the counter, we could see only 5-7 min were allotted to each patient, the office double and triple books. No wonder patients feel rushed. The dr is very nice, she was able to reach out to my daughter in a non-technical manner and for that I am thankful.

Horrible horrible experience with this practice and this doctor. Highly unprofessional and unknowledgable. Would absolutely not recommended to anyone.

I felt very comfortable with the doctor. The doctor was very detailed and appeared to be well rounded with what her career.

I feel as if not sharing my horrible experience with Dr. Gutierrez and her practice would be a complete disservice to anyone who is looking for an OBGYN or thinking of possible choosing them as your gyno. The doctor is kind, do not get me wrong, but as a doctor she is and/or seems to be careless and unsure of herself. I had to contact and reach out to her for any information. After speaking 2 or 3 times she did not even as much as briefly remember speaking to me or my situation.

Dr. Gutierrez was very friendly and informative. I was a bit skeptical based on some of the bad reviews that I read, but I guess each individual experience would be different. Thankfully, I had a pleasant one. The only complaint would be the wait time in the exam room is ( 30-45 mins).

I went to her in Jan with severe bleeding problems. After waiting 2 hrs past my app. time I was put into an exam room for 45minutes. She came in with 2 staffers spent 5 minutes with me . She wouldn't even listen to me when I tried to explain my problem. I asked for a blood test for anemia she laughed and told me to go to my primary and take iron pills. She threw a pamphlet for an iud and left . I ended up in the hospital for anemia now getting a hysterectomy . Do not go to her or that practice

Dr Gutierrez makes you feel at ease, was caring and gentle. Would recommend her.

Dr. Gutierrez has been seeing my wife after she's been pregnant. I've been with her during these visits. Dr. Gutierrez cuts right to the chase. She examines my wife and tells us what's going on. I feel that she wasn't as friendly at first but after our first visit she started to open up more. During the delivery of our baby, we encountered a problem with our baby's umbilical cord wrapped around his neck 3 times. Dr. Gutierrez, acted quickly and delivered our baby boy safely! Thanks Doc!!!

I have only good things to say about Dr Gutierrez. She's personable and professional. Called me back right away when I had questions and helped get appointments scheduled when I was not getting through to someone in a different office. Don't love the waiting room time spent in the Hackensack office. Not her fault though.
