Dr. Christina Vitale, DO

If you been in a ER you know the wait takes a while before they call you back and when they do it’s another wait till the provider comes sees you. Well I waited a good two hours before seeing this provider. And all I can say is she brushed me off , everything I said she tried to say I was in the wrong or I wasn’t doing it right. On top of everything she does not listen she will not let you speak, as soon as I was explaining medical concerns she started talking about other things and kept me from not saying nothing. I was fed up to the point I asked for my discharge papers. I’ll be back in planning on speaking with the floor manager because I have real concerns and all she does is push you aside and does not bother to address your concerns. She is just lazy. Needs to resign.

She was professional at first but then when she went to get a nurse to assist her I could hear her outside gossiping about me and telling her nurse that I needed a reality check and that my symptoms weren’t serious. If they weren’t serious then why was I pumped with fluids, given anti anxiety meds as well as a script and multiple referrals with multiple printouts on high blood pressure? She was forced to apologize because the floor manager instructed her to but she failed to explain why she felt that behavior was acceptable in the first place. I hope she resigns soon and never returns to medicine.

Poor Bedside manner

Dr Vitale was a shining light in an otherwise dismal experience in the ED at Grand Strand. She singlehandedly managed to turn things around clinically and from a patient experience perspective. Add to that her excellent bedside manner, calm demeanor and expert assessment and suturing skills - she has a very bright future ahead of her.
