Belittling and holds rocks to guide how he treats
I have seen other reviews regarding his holistic approach, but as a mental health professional myself, I can confirm that his approach is not holistic. His practices are very concerning and I would not recommend him generally, especially if you identify as a woman (he is very belittling and makes generalizations about women and mental health). Also, to make a decision on what to diagnose me with and prescribe me, he asked me several questions, cut off every single one of my answers, and would hold/rub rocks in his hands as though they were guiding his decisions. Please avoid. He might be ok if you want supplement recommendations, but certainly not for diagnosing or pharmacological intervention.

Horrible
His lovely cocktail of meds landed my son in the hospital. And his report with his patients is not good.

He listens and takes a holistic approach to your care and his approach starts with a blood test, vitamins, and herbal remedies, first. Dr. Kcomt is not an over-prescriber.

Easy to get an appointment, but beware. Just a pill pusher. Doesn’t care about you or your symptoms. Just wants your money and you get to deal with the side effects.

I have seen Dr. Kcomt for about a year. He is not quick to over prescribe medications. He also prescribed vitamin supplements and encourages blood testing to ensure there isn’t something else causing symptoms. He is methodical, but kind. My experience is different from others reviews, As he has been very responsive to my side effects of medication and has worked with me to find something that works for me. I have never had to wait months to get an appointment and his receptionist is so kind. Also, he doesn’t shame you if you’ve cancelled an appointment or stopped coming for a period of time—he’s just glad you came back— which is super important for someone struggling with mental health.

This doctor is horrible. He is like a robot. Not sure how anyone can possibly feel comfortable opening up to him. I don't care how many diplomas are hanging from his wall. He just takes your money. Keep looking!

Dr. Kcompt integrates natural approaches with Western Medicine. It's incredibly rare to find a psychiatrist who has this education and approach--especially in this geographical area. He is the ONLY psychiatrist who hasn't shamed me for wanting to try to get off of psychotropic meds. He's not a pill pusher. In fact, I, a therapist, refer my clients to him. I trust him. He has prescribed supplements to me that have been helpful and is interested in hearing what my naturopathic doctor recommends to me as well. He's interested in the body holistically vs focusing on the brain and pathology. His receptionist is so kind and sweet. One of the most professional I've encountered!

Dr Kcomt doesn’t listen to what the patient needs and doesn’t listen to feedback on medications. Before any recommendations are made you’ll need 4-5 appointments and about $200 worth of blood tests. If you have a month or two to waste before getting the help you need then maybe he’s for you but he wasn’t for me.

I have a feeling the 5 star review is Dr Kcomt. Our experience is identical to the 1 star. Daughter goes in, spends 5 minutes with him and comes out with 4 prescriptions and $100 less in her bank account. She's an adult, so I can't force her to go to someone else or believe me, I would. The office is clean and calm and I have nothing bad to say about his receptionist, although I think she may be a patient of his.

100% First of all, Dr. Kcomt is without a dot, the most caring, knowledgeable, friendly, experienced, helpful, & best psychiatrist that I have ever been to. I've been seeing psychiatrists for almost 30 years and have switched probably at least 10 times because of one reason or another. Ever since finding Dr. Kcomt a few years ago, I knew I'd never settle for anyone else. * Information here needs updating, he currently can be reached at 717-603-3700 and opened his own practice on 3461 Market

Believes in homeopathic medicine. It doesn't help me. He barely spends any time with me. Maybe 5 minutes if tops. He doesn't seem to care about me. The receptionist has even been rude to me and tried to take my last dollar for a copay. Definitely looking for a new psychiatric office to go to now. Never going back there.
