Dr. Chitra Choudhary, MD

I had Dr. Choudhary as an endocrinologist for thyroid cancer. She was assigned to me through KU Med and I wish I had scheduled with someone else immediately. Her bedside manner is outrageously bad and she doesn’t listen to your concerns. She told me I had reached no evidence of disease via the hospital portal on a note from the scan results and all it said was “all clear.” No phone call, email, or appointment to let me know I beat cancer. Took two weeks to learn what that meant. She also said that the reason I was experiencing disruptive fatigue was because I didn’t walk enough and ate too many carbs, not that I had just had two surgeries and RAI in the last 6 months and then offered no solutions or help. Being her patient feels like a checked box. Her office is always incredibly busy, which I am very understanding of. However, they made you feel like a burden for asking basic questions about medications and feeling unwell. See any other endo and you will have a better experience
