An Angel of Mercy
My visit with her was life changing. I had suffered for 14 yrs with misdiagnosed TN migraines, which grew in frequency, both day & night episodes and to excruciating intensity, as I aged. The MRIs showed NO compressions., so all the past doctors (40 of them) wanted to do was throw meds at me. Yet after a 10 min conversation in front of this brilliantly skilled surgeon, she properly diagnosed me and scheduled me for surgery. She removed 3 compressions and although I’m only one week post-op and my surgery pains are very fresh, I’d trust her lead again and again with every breath I’ve been fortunate to take, since she delivered me from that excruciating painful syndrome that had left me debilitated. She has not only saved my life, but also saved my twin sister’s over 8 years ago in Jan 2017 during a grueling 13 hr terrifying emergency surgery removing a malignant tumor from her brain steam. Our good Lord has now blessed me twice through this Angel of Mercy.

My twin sisters, malignant brain tumor
This brilliant Surgeon extended my twin sister’s life by meticulously removing a metastasized malignant tumor from her brain stem in a 13 hour surgery. Dr Amene visited with my family 3 times during this lengthy operation to update & reassure us. When my twin reached ICU at 1:30 AM, I personally did not feel I would ever see her smile again, but at 7 AM the next morning as I entered her room, she was sitting comfortably eating breakfast. I couldn't believe my eyes & will be forever grateful to this remarkable surgeon for extending her life. Cancer took her body, but her brain was clear & cancer free, Had her oncologist been as skilled as her brain surgeon, I believe she would still be with me today. This review is for my twin however, I will be able to write my own after next week. It took me almost 4 mos to find Dr Amene after I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia & now she will be performing a microvascular decompression surgery on myself ending 14 yrs of tremendous pain.

Dr. Amene is Straight forward, gives detailed explanations, is encouraging and kind, and knows what she is doing. She was able to remove 100% of a very large, benign brain tumor that was connected to my brain stem. I recovered and have done well since the surgery which was three years ago. I trust Dr. Amene and would highly recommend her! I’m so thankful for her.
