My PCP wanted me to see a rheumatologist due to bloodwork and symptoms that were indicative of lupus or another autoimmune condition. I also have early onset arthritis with bone-on-bone arthritis in my knees. Dr. Oddis shamed me for being overweight and said all of my symptoms were solely due to weight. I am middle-aged and wear a size large—not a morbidly obese woman at all. He also stepped out in the middle of my appointment to take a 10 minute cell phone call that he said was from his other office. (I overheard his conversation and the topics were dinner and weekend plans.) He stated on my visit summary that he listened to my heart and lungs. He didn’t have a stethoscope and I didn’t receive an examination of either my heart not my lungs. It was a waste of my time and money.

dismissive, did not talk with me or about my symptoms, more at me, then called me 'hysterical’ when i hung my head to cry after waiting forever for this appointment.

Very dismissive. Because my symptoms were not “normal” refused even consider or fully listen to what I was saying. Won’t be going back.

I had one in person visit and one virtual visit. I felt that he was very dismissive and immediately wanted to change all meds that I was currently on....after just meeting me. He was not interested in treating my symptoms. He told me to get a second opinion. He is not very compassionate. What he told me is completely different than what my last two Dr's had talked to me about and their treatment plan. Unfortunately, they left the Pittsburgh area. This is why I ended up making an appointment with Dr. Oddis. I do not recommend this Dr. at all.

Dr Oddis has helped me a lot! I went to another Ra Dr and didn’t get much relief. I’ve been going there at least 5 years and have my RA much better controlled.

No bedside manner and had a cocky attitude. Seemed lazy. 2 visits and never did an exam but was able to say I had no rashes or arthritic deformities. I have both rash and deformed fingers but he never looked. Went to him because he was highly recommended but I have no idea why. I will definitely be looking elsewhere.

Very dismissive. He refused to treat my condition and told me to get another opinion. I can understand a doctor recommending a second opinion after all else fails, but this was my second visit with him. Would not recommend.

Not sure how Dr Oddis only had 3 stars. Considering his stature in the area and the fact that 1 year later all of my doctors in different states are still referring to his observations and notes I would think he would be a Top Doc!
