I don’t think I ever saw Doctor Powell, I saw a young girl that was telling me that my right eye had no remedy. I was referred here because my regular doctor couldn’t work with the hospital that I was capitales to and he said I needed cataract surgery in my right eye. As soon as I got to this clinic (Powell) they didn’t want to see my referral papers they didn’t want to see my retina doctor referral papers they never checked my right eye they just wanted to juice my insurance. When I asked why they were saying I didn’t have a remedy for my right eye the young doctor was confused telling me that I couldn’t detect color or movement and I had to prove her wrong she brought in a lamp and she moved her hand around my eyes and I can detect everything they just didn’t take the time to check my eye. The young doctor wasAppalled that I even ask for a second opinion and I came out of that clinic crying because it’s not a cold were talking about we’re talking about my vision so nope Never again!

My visit was a great experience. The staff and doctor were pleasant and easy to talk to. Dr. Powell has dedicated her life’s work to the underserved community and should be commended for her efforts in South Central Los Angeles. We need more physicians like her. I recommend her highly.
