Attentive
I have been dealing with ongoing medical issues for the past three years. I have seen nine different doctors and I keep getting passed around between specialist because nobody seems to know what’s wrong with me. My gynecological issues are separate from everything else, but she is the first doctor in the past three years, whom I feel has actually listened to me.

Awful experience
This was my first child, im a young mom 21 years, and i have such respect for palo alto medical foundation even still, but she was so awful, like the other person on here said she didnt follow through with anything, she would cancel appointments without my knowledge, i showed up to 2 or 3 appointments (with my mom) and they told me she had canceled them months prior or they said she was on vacation or "out of town" she had not approved or ordered any of my ultrasounds past 20 weeks, at that point i was getting so nervous that if something was wrong with my baby i wouldn't be able to know, it was the worst experience ever i had to change my OB at 28 weeks and by that point it was so late i couldnt get another one so every appointment i had from then on was with a different person. I was so upset and needless to say my baby was delivered by whoever was on call at the time not someone i was supposed to build a connection with and trust.

Great OBGYN
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Northey for years. She is great! She is very thorough and went the extra mile for me, getting me a referral to a specialist outside of Santa Cruz county. She is kind and explains things accurately, never talking down to her patients. On top of all this, she is funny! I recommend her highly.

She didnt follow through on promised areas, and when confronted about it, She gaslit me saying it was something we never discussed. I was returning to follow up on bloodwork, which was not ran at the time of blood drawing, but instead other tests were ran, I wasnt contacted about this oversight either. She told me "it sounds like whatever you're doing isnt working" and that's why I was there, to discuss the issues that werent solved from our previous visit. She also suggested 2 highly dangerous medications for endometriosis as primary methods, and a 3rd that is known to worsen conditions. I asked for an ER protocol to be written by her on a previous visit and she agreed, and then this visit she said it was never talked about before. I left upset. And had a panic attack in the parking lot where I tried to calm down before driving. I later received a warning from the office about my "behavior" as they could hear me panicking in the parking lot, but didnt offer any help!

She has been my doctor in all my pregnancies, I love that she is kind, patient, careful, and knows exactly what to do. She is also very understanding and I never felt rushed with her, she always took her time and listened. An amazing doctor she is! I can tell she loves her job and patients.
