Excellent Experience
I am not one to leave comments, but after reading some of these bad reviews, I felt it necessary to comment. My experience was excellent. I arrived 15 min early for my appointment and was called back on time. I first met with Dr Newell for and EMG. When that was completed I went directly to my follow up with Dr. Tao. He came to the room promptly, was very professional and pleasant. He took the time to talk to me and explain my condition and his recommendations and scheduled a follow up. For all of you that had a different experience, maybe you are not very pleasant yourself. Highly recommend Dr. Tao and the Spine and Neuro Center. Every staff member I interacted with were professional and kind.

Excellent! Suffered for 10 years following a rear end collision with a truck. Saw many doctors had 6 rounds of physical therapy. Pain loss was temporary. I was taking 800 mg of ibuprofen just to be able to get out of bed and to diminish pain enough to get on and off the toilet. Finally in 2015 my toes went numb. Saw Dr. Tao. A life sav er. Surgery was on a Tuesday. Released on a Saturday. No pain meds at all for the past 7 years. No back aches either. I truly thank God for him!!!

We thought Dr. Tao was a neurosurgeon who specialized in spinal cord procedures, we were wrong. He's merely another pain Dr. who is afraid to do any surgeries and would rather push opioids and steroid shots. My wife has debilitating cervicogenic headaches that mimic migraines with moderate herniated discs in 13 different vertebrae including 4 of the cervical area. Dr Tao decided her symptoms were not worthy of surgery or any long term fix. All he offered was pain management and epidurals.

First I waited for almost 3 hrs for a first visit with him that lasted 7 min with his nurse practitioner and 3 min with him. I knew I didn't need surgery, I am a nurse I did my homework. I had a previous fusion in the cervical area and am having problems. I also have bulging lumbar areas. Already had MRI's and X-rays,. Smart enough to read the report. Wanted to talk physiology and long term prognosis. Also I waited for two months for this to get better, did exercises specific. Upset.
