Dr. Chelsea Price, DO

I recently had to switch doctors with this pregnancy , and Dr Price has been amazing, she’s been kind, supportive and I’m pleased we chose her !

I initially saw Dr. Price for a second opinion, after a negative experience with a different gynecologist. She really listened to my concerns and took her time explaining all of my options in a lot of detail, instead of pushing me toward surgery like my previous doc. We tried medications first, and when they didn't work, then I was finally ready for surgery. Dr. Price did my hysterectomy herself, and I've honestly never felt better! I never realized just how much of my overall health was being impacted by my stupid uterus.

I had one appointment with Dr. Price at Eastside OB/GYN in Kirkland. It was a strange encounter that ended okay, but I don't think I will be back. What I came in for: * Request for surgery to remove my reproductive parts so that I can stop hemorrhaging (almost to death) and get some semblance of a life back. I had been bleeding for over 12 weeks. What actually occurred: * A relatively unpleasant _required_ intervaginal ultrasound. * A less painful than anticipated _required_ pap smear. * Being talked out of surgery that I needed -- as it was suddenly "too risky" -- and told that I would have to be on birth control that had landed me in the hospital two years ago and stay on it for 18 months for my insurance to consider me for surgery. If you need a life-saving "risky" hysterectomy, I recommend you seek help elsewhere. In the meantime, I wasted more time and resources... and I still have an unresolved bleeding problem. +3 stars for the pap smear being bearable.
