Dr. Chelsea Johnson, MD

This ER doctor, Valley Children's Hospital, decided it was ok to lecture me and my daughter in law for 20 minutes before looking at our sick child. Accusing demeanor and condescending behavior was inappropriate and unprofessional. Asking us what we wanted done was ok, but then after saying if no infection was seen then I wanted a white blood cell count test done, she proceeded to ask me questions about what if it's elevated what does that mean? and upon answering, it means an infection somewhere, she said yeah but we don't know where the infection is... I'm thinking, isn't that your job to find out?? She proceeded to lecture us about only coming to ER if its an emergency, this was before she even looked at my grandson. We felt as though we were being judged. In the end, my grandson had an ear infection and that's all we needed to know. As a 55 yr old mother of 2 myself and a healthcare worker, I have never seen anything like this. A young mother would be intimidated by her.
