Doctor Galutia saved my daughter

Awful first experience as a new mom
I think she would be a better doctor if she learned how to talk to parents. As a new mom I left her office feeling like a failure every time. She was not tolerant of my opinions and came across as a social worker instead of a medical doctor. New moms are still recovering, sometimes from a life threatening birth like me, and need compassion and understanding, not pressure and told what to do and exactly how to do it. Her bedside manner was poor and she gave me no wins. My child gaining weight wasn't enough, she also needed to gain catch up weight. I requested another formula option for breastmilk fortification and she told me there isn't one, which is simply not true. I also felt shamed for using safe sleep 7. If you have a preemie and are a new mom I don't recommend Dr. Galutia. I have since found a new pediatrician that hears my concerns and offers options. I wish I'd started out with them because my first 3 months as a new mom were filled with fear and failure.

Dr. Galutia listened intently, acknowledged when a condition was outside her specialty, and referred my child to other skilled providers. She accomplished in one visit what may have required 4 or more visits at our previous pediatrician. We will definitely return.

We love Dr. Galutia! I wanted a new doctor when I had my 2nd child because I was highly disappointed with previous one. Galutia was convenient at the time because she was in the same office as my doctor. She is outstandingwith my littles. Patient, informative, understanding and not pushy. Only once have I been unable to get same day appt. Wait times have never been more than 30 mins. Sometimes she may refer you out to specialists, which is wonderful. All staff is great! I have gone here 16 yrs.

We were incredibly disappointed with Dr. Galutia, the staff, her decisions, etc. Wait times were long, and when my 3 week old (6week premature) baby had an emergency, she wouldn’t make time to see us. We spent the next 3 days in the hospital, and during our follow up with Galutia she lied to us multiple times. I know she lied because she went along with the misdiagnosis from the ER she sent us to, which could have cost my daughter her life (she had a septic infection)

Dr. Galutia is a favorite person for our 4 kids! She is excellent with families, gives great medical care and is extremely thorough in her questioning about and explanation of whatever you may be in to see her for. Our son recently had a plantar wart removed which took 4 visits to her office to treat by nitrous freezing. He was very anxious the first time we went in and she completely put him at ease. Her ability to meet kids right where they are at is uncanny! (parents too). We love Dr. Galutia
