Dr. Charles White, MD

He may have skills in other areas, but is not good with women's issues even though that is listed as one of his specialties. Also extremely arrogant - both him and his medical student. His assistant was great. I've had to work with a lot of doctors over the years for various gynecological issues which generally has gone fine, but this by far was the worst interaction that I've ever had with a doctor. It appeared that he didn't fully read my medical reports and I definitely didn't feel heard. I wasn't there for narcotics, but he kept acting like I was. Also was dismissive and minimized any health issues I'm currently dealing with. Very humiliating. I would literally go to any other doctor before going back. Plus, they contradicted what actual ob gyns and specialists have told me over the last 15 years or so of dealing with certain issues. I was hoping at least to get direction on what specialist by name to go to and didn't even get that other than go find a general gyn.

I went in person met with Dr. White and he ordered testing. Then Dr. White referred me to a specialist. His referral did not include information about what it was for. The referral went from person to person. Every time I contacted Dr. White he didn't know what I needed. He always assumed I didn't do it he never read my chart or results. It took months and even another in person visit!!! Dr. White takes months to write on your results. He doesn't seem to have any idea who you are or what you need!

Dr. White has been superb as a PCP, resolving most concerns with his own expertise and referring us to specialists and diagnostic treatments as appropriate. He is caring, engaging, thorough and expert in diagnosing and prescribing. He really has been an excellent medical provider and we are most grateful to have access to him (and changed from our insurance provider of long-standing when Dr. White's U of U Healthcare group was no longer in network for that provider).
