Dr. Charles Sevastos, DO

I have really liked Dr. Sevastos. HOWEVER, it should not be this difficult to reach his nurse. Her mailbox has "been full" for several weeks and when I try to reach the front desk, it rings and rings. As a retired Nurse Practitioner, I find the patient portal often difficult to navigate. I just need a lab slip for routine labs to be done ahead of my upcoming yearly exam and you would not think this would be so hard! Having been in private practice for many years I know a provider is often only as good as their support staff. Get it together folks!!!

I have been a patient of Dr Sevastos' for several years now. He has earned my complete trust . He has always been considerate,caring and of the highest medical standards.

I was very upset with my visit March 2 Tues. I had a 10:00 appointment for a second visit after taking antibiotic to clear up a U T I . I waited 1 hour and 15 min. when receptionist called me to window. She blamed another person for delay. Sent me to restroom said a cup was in there put your name and date of birth. When I went to put cup in door another cup was there and one on back of toilet. Three people were standing at door when I left. I still have not heard results of test. I'm not one to complain but this should not happen. Thank you Connie Copeland 1/7/48

This doctor would not see me when I needed to get in with a terribly painful sinus headache, told me I had to get a Covid test before he would see me. I did not have Covid and went to another Dr. who saw me immediately, was very kind and helped me immediately. I did get the Covid test a day later when I was feeling better, NO I did not have Covid. He called later that day and then left me a msg, stated I had Covid. and hope I got better., he never talked to me or saw me. I would never go back to him, not only did he loose a patient, he lost my respect.

If I could leave one star I would. I’ve never been treated more poorly by a healthcare provider. “Care” is in the title of the job and it’s clear that he doesn’t. This office checked me in, had me wait, and then ultimately refused care saying that I didn’t confirm the appointment. After waiting 2 months for this appointment, I arrived at 1:10 for a 1:30 appointment and was checked in after waiting at 1:17. I heard the Dr. S ask the receptionist what time his 1:30 arrived and when she told him 1:17 I heard him say that was “too late.” After waiting longer, the nurse came from the back, called me over, and turned me away for care being that I hadn’t “confirmed the appointment.” I played the confirmation voicemail to the nurse that I had received at 10:30 am on the previous day only to be told it was out of her hands. Total lack of caring and empathy. After reading some of the other reviews on here I feel I am better off having not seen him. Terrible experience.

Bad experience.does not seem to care.

This was my worst experience with a doctor in my entire life. He's is sarcastic, condescending and proved to be an outright liar. I have been going to SJC for 4 years with absolutely no issues until my experience with this "so called" doctor.

Everyone has off days and I hope that I met Dr. Sevastos on one of those days. As my “surperior”, he made me feel as low as scum. I hope for no one else to feel this way and that you search elsewhere for the adequate care you deserve. All other staff was more than friendly.

Sevastos is more thorough and caring than other doctors I've seen in this area. Perhaps that's the DO versus MD training. Or perhaps he's still energized by his profession. I feel he is listening more to me than popping info into his computer screen. He has diagnosed problems that other doctors have either overlooked or missed entirely. He's also more proactive than reactive which has improved the quality of my life. I am very happy with this doctor and hope that he never retires!

Dr. Sevastos is very kind and a concerned physician. I appreciate his taking time, listens and does not appear to rush in and out as some physicians do. He is professional and takes care in prescribing meds. He does not over prescribe. He is cautious in ordering tests and does not order excessively. only as needed. I trust Dr. Sevastos and i feel that is very important.

I felt unimportant and to protect himself he literally refused to help.

I would recommend Dr. Sevastos to anyone! I was very please with my visit, he was very personable and didn't "rush" the visit. He listened to me and made recommendations to improve my health. I just loved him! I have sent several family members to him and they have made him their PCP.

I've honestly had a number of terrible experiences with doctors, but none quite as bad as a 2 minute appointment where I begin to describe my condition, get cut off, referred to another doctor, and then walked out of the room while I was talking. Made me feel ashamed and unimportant.

If you're going to see this doctor make sure you have top notch insurance. Being yelled at because my insurance doesn't pay him enough to make prior authorization calls for prescriptions was a humilating experience. To make matters worse he refused to even attempt to help me with a herneated L5 disc because he didn't want to make PA calls.

Dr. Savastos was taken on as my new Family Doctor, he is a caring person, a good Doctor and a credit to the medical profession . Thank You Doctor Savastos Rich Keefner
