Dr Pound performed the surgery for my prostate cancer 13 years ago. I am thankful for his expertise and also appreciate his caring manner over the years since. I give him the highest recommendation to anyone.

My personal experience was so bad I decided it would be better to wait a few months after I was totally done with dr pound and his office to give myself time to reflect and cool down before I wrote a review. All I heard prior to dealing with his practice was he was one of the best in the region so I felt very good going into my consultation.I can not recall ever being talked so rudely to by a professional of any kind without getting a word in for myself. Simply asking questions seemed to severely irritate charles , which caused him to began to act condescending to anything said by anyone of my family. I’m fully aware he is a urologist/surgeon and it’s not his job to be Mr. Nice Guy. I went to UMCC for a pre-op (obviously I already had a surgery date)for my cystectomy only to be told I wasn’t on their schedule even though it was clear as day on MyChart. By the time they could operate my cancer had spread outside the bladder. Please do research before dealing with this guy.

If a very poor rating were offered it would represent the quality of care and service my father received from Dr. Pounds. His nurse Heather was a caring, considerate, and kind hearted . Her help and assistance was limited as his employee. Being diagnosed with prostate cancer a year ago he is taking hormone therapy, he finished a fully aggressive session of radiation last year. Dr. Pounds has not rechecked his prostate growth or reduction nor did he offer an alternative plan A.B.C,D, or any hope.

He was outstanding throughout the presurgery and surgical process . He did great work in the follow-up area as well. I would highly recommend him to anybody with renal cell carcinoma situation , especially in light of this exceptional skill and his compassion .

He is not a helpful doctor at all. He shook his finger at me for asking questions about my PSA levels and alternative tests. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy, much less my family and friends. His receptionists and nurses are all nice, but he is terrible.
