Dr. Charles Mehlman, DO

He was very rude and abrupt to me and my son. When we did not understand his poorly worded questions he reacted like it was our fault. He hurt my son while taping his wrist. I would not recommend him.

Dr. Mehlman is rude and egotistical. As soon as he came in the room yesterday, he yelled at my 16 yo son. My son is extremely shy as he has social anxiety as well as an intellectual and processing disability. My son answered his question but it wasn’t loud enough or an accurate response to his liking so he yelled at and belittled him by telling him he doesn’t make sense. He was short and acted like it was a disservice to him that we were there. My son, who already struggles, is now refusing to go back for a follow up appointment if he has to see him again. This man should have chosen a different career if he can’t be more personable, especially with pediatrics. I wouldn’t even recommend anyone take their pet to him, much less their child. I will add, the physicians assistant, clerks and nurses there were beyond kind and very helpful. He was the only person who was rude in the office.

Dr. Mehlman was extremely rude, didn’t listen to my concerns, and rushed out of the room. He has a horrible bedside manner. I would never let him operate on my child. Don’t waste your time going to see this doctor, he doesn’t spend enough time to understand the issue. Children deserve better care than this doctor gives.

He is the best. Truly the best. I would move mountains to have every cchmc doctor be this kind, caring, funny and thorough. Something was very wrong with my so so foot. The residents said he was fine. I went back to see the best -Mehlman and he found the break. Cincy is lucky to have him.

Dr. Mehlman did my child’s orthopedic surgery. During the surgery he accidentally broke his femur. He said he felt bad and he would come to my child’s room to see him. My child was inpatient for 10 days and Dr. Mehlman never came. My child was discharged and re admitted a for over 2 weeks. He had orthopedic issues and Dr. Mehlman told the team that he would come to see my child and answer our questions, but he never showed. How can you see how someone is doing by only looking in a computer?

Dr. Mehlman was wonderful with our newborn son. He is very busy and can seem a little rushed, but once he is with us, we appreciate his interactions.
