I appreciated the thoroughness of the medical assistant who collected detailed information about my vision concerns prior to meeting with Dr. Medert. Once Dr. Medert arrived he was very patient in explaining what was the root cause of my eye sight issue, and walked me through -4- potential options allowing me to pick the direction I wanted to try. I appreciated his patience as I didn't feel rushed into making a decision immediately in the moment. I also appreciated the fact one option involved using my own blood through a local lab to create a serum to potentially address my eye issues which seemed like a very progressive approach. Great Visit!

My appointment at the Austin Eye practice was a positive experience. The office is very well organized, and everybody is friendly and supportive. I was especially impressed with the Ophthalmic Technician, Ms. Kelley Lopez, who performed all preliminary tests to be presented to Dr. Medert. She also followed up via email after my visit. Dr. Medert was professional but also affable in his interaction with me. He explained the test results quite clearly and offered practical solutions which made it easier for me to decide on my treatment options.

I didn't know what to expect but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was very impressed with the care taken with my exams and the conversations between the staff and myself prior to seeing the doctor. Now...Dr. Medert is an amazingly talented physician. He has a special gift that has enabled me to see clearly again. Since my surgery, the grass is greener, and the sky is bluer. No joke! I can also see where I'm going when driving. My kids and the community at large are happy about that as well. I can honestly say that my experience at Austin Eye is beyond reproach. The results I am experiencing are nothing short of miraculous....to me. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat!!!!

I needed a full eye exam for eye health and for new glasses. Also had many questions about cataract surgery. Dr. Medert finished my thorough exam, talked with me about his findings and what next steps to take when I’m ready to have the cataract surgery. He is super friendly and my visit was non stressful and very informative.The young woman who did the testing of my eyes before my exam was awesome. Really sorry I can’t remember her name.

I had my initial appointment with Dr. Medert last week, and he formulated a treatment plan for an issue I've grappled with for the past 10 years. Having consulted with three other Ophthalmologists previously, he uniquely devised a solution to effectively manage my symptoms. I'm pleased to say it's the best my eyes have felt in a decade. Additionally, from my first call to Austin Eye, every employee that I interacted with was extremely friendly and patient and provided excellent patient care.
