Great man great physician

Dr Machell punctured my moms heart during pacemaker insertion which led to extended hospital complications and he never followed up with her. This mistake caused my mom to have a drain inserted (by a different doctor) into her heart sac which is super painful. So, an easy pacemaker insertion turned into 6 more days in the hospital for complications thus far. She is still in the hospital. Why wouldn’t he at least apologize? Ugh. Do not recommend. My mom is 88 and because of him we’ve gotten to stay on the floor with Covid-19 patients and have had many complications and pain.

As always, Dr .Machell is very professional and yet has a laymens way of describing your medical issues and their solutions. I highly recommend Dr. Machell to any one having electrophysiology issues.

Staff is very friendly and very competent and efficient. Dr Machell gives you the information needed to make rational decisions on your wellbeing. He takes the time to explain to you if your not sure. When you leave his office, you leave with confidence.

Dr. Machell was excellent. From our first visit to the procedure in the hospital Dr. Machell spent the time necessary to diagnose my condition and explained step by step what he was going to do. He has an excellent bed side manner and made me fell very comfortable during the entire process. I trust him explicitly.

Difficulty emerging from anesthesia left me focused on headache and nausea for nearly a week. Should never obscure excellent job on heart. Thorough ablation left large non-conductive atrial area where no stray signals could emerge. Heart has been running smoothly since. Many thanks.

It was great. His nurse Miranda was very professional. He had plenty of time to listen to my concerns and was very clear in his instructions until my next visit. He is brilliant and has an excellent bedside manner, which is an unusual combination. I've been seeing him for 19 years and would never dream of changing to another electrophysiologist.

I felt extremely confident that the treatment I have received from Dr. Machell, his staff and the office staff were giving the best care and information available. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any family members or friends.

Dr. Machell is one of the smartest people I know. I have approximately 30 years experience with him. I do request that his office staff call me when he is running behind (which is understandable), so that I do not sit in the office for extended periods.

Dr. Machell gets five stars from me! He has been my Electrophysiologist for 12 years, and I have always been totally pleased with his various procedures and related surgeries. My most recent visit with him on May 21, 2020 was excellent. It was a follow-up regarding the remaining battery life in my current pacemaker device and planning ahead for the next one to be implanted when due. As always, he was very thorough in explaining my current status and the plans for the future. Dr. Machell is very pleasant to be with in every visit with him, and I always feel encouraged when each visit is completed.

Dr. Machell is the finest physician I visit, he's courteous, thoughtful, knowledgeable, explains everything in "layman's" language, is prompt for his appointments. A number of the other doctors I see tell me if they had to choose a Cardiologist for themselves, Dr. Machell would be the one they choose. His staff is equally efficient and courteous, the working environment is always neat and well managed and very clean, calm, resourceful, caring, intelligent, and always puts the patient's needs in proper perspective. He never hurries through appointments and always insures the patient understands the instructions given. He has always been and always will be my FIRST choice for physicians care. He's put in two pacemakers and given me at least 3 cardioversions to get me out of A-Fib. I always look forward to our appointments.

At 35, somehow I ended up with A-fib. I met Dr. Machell back in 96 and he's been my electrophysiologist since. The Lord blessed me and my family by putting Dr. Machell in our path, good man, precise and to the point- great Doctor. He's been a pioneer in this field and knows it like the back of his hand- you will not find a better electro-man!

Dr. Machell was very informative and went into detail the procedure that I needed to have. He showed me the back up EKG reports that I had been monitored and recorded and explained what he was going to do in surgey very detailed, I feel very comfortable going into surgery with him. He was very patient with my questions and spend as much time as needed with me to answer them all, I did not feel being rushed.
