Need far better psychiatrists at Nuvance
I completely agree with the last reviewer as l had the same experience. The most helpful person l talked to was a receptionist named Jenny at the Danbury outpatient office. She really tried to get me help. The psychiatrist, though, was rude, uniformed and impatient. The New Milford office was so disorganized and bad at communication that anyone feeling well would be challenged trying to deal with them and their attitudes. Such a shame. The doctor overseeing this behavioral health department needs to know how patients are being treated. A terrible shame.

No time to care and even if he did have time it is unlikely that he would care. He had an opportunity, as did his colleagues, to help a member of his own WCHN community and took no interest in a situation that was far worse than he and colleagues gave speculation. They tend to stand at a distance and speculate rather than speak directly with human beings... this appears to be their M.O. The group needs some serious retraining and sadly I wouldn’t recommend seeing any one them professionally.

I first met Dr. Herrick when in therapy at the Danbury Hospital Dept. of Psychiatry; my therapist and I were discussing inpatient hospitalization as I was in a state of severe anxiety and depression. She called to confer with Dr. Herrick and he immediately came in to talk with me. It impressed me greatly that the chairperson of the Dept. of Psychiatry would drop whatever he was doing to come and talk with me. He has a calming presence, cares for his patients, and always listens.
