Dr. Charles Duss, MD

I had PRK with Dr. Duss. His staff is readily available, I had numerous impromptu texts and prompt responses throughout the process. The procedure went great. I had Lasik about 15 years ago, and the PRK procedure was easier. With that said, the recovery is a bit more uncomfortable, but totally worth it. They have convenient office locations. He was recommended to me and I’m glad I went with him.

I was diagnosed this summer with a retinal vein occlusion. He was running behind as usual, and when he saw it, he blurted out you’ve had a stroke. Ok, it’s tissue damage from a blood clot so I guess you could call it a stroke, but that’s not what most people think when they hear that. He suggested taking baby aspirin until I saw the retinal specialist, but she told me it was contraindicated under current guidelines. Anyone can have a bad day, but this was too much. Am changing doctors.

Dr. Duss is very prompt. He has a great demeanor. My corrective eye procedure went flawlessly. I highly recommend Dr. Duss.

I received PRK from Dr. Duss the surgery went very well and smooth. He did downplay the post op pain to ‘mild discomfort’ it was in fact 24 hours of horrendous pain and the narcotics don’t do much for you. But I would go to Dr. Duss again however, after this surgery I’m sure I won’t have too!

I cannot say enough about Atlantic Eye Institute and my experience getting Lasik. I've struggled for years with readers, lost two pair of prescription glasses in 2 months, and cannot do the whole contact lens thing. I've been told for the past 10 years by other doctors that I was not a candidate for LasiK. After speaking with Dr. Duss and his very professional team we found out than I was a perfect candidate for Lasik! The procedure went very quickly and the next morning I was amazed that I could actually read my phone without scrambling to find readers. Truly life changing for me! I would not trust my vision with anyone else and highly reccomend Atlantic Eye Institute!

I could not have hoped for a better experience. The team was great, and my lasik went flawlessly with better than expected results. On a scale of 1-10, my post surgery discomfort never went beyond 1, which was very surprising to me. I simply followed the pre and post care instructions, which were simple and thorough. I wish I had done this years ago. Today's technology is truly impressive, and the only reason they get 2 thumbs up is that I only have 2 thumbs. Dr. Duss and his team (Savannah) were extraordinary. They made me feel comfortable throughout the what could have been very stressful process. Savannah called me the night before to ease my anxiety and Dr. Duss followed up post operatively to ensure I was feeling well. I felt minimal discomfort after the procedure and now I have 20/20 vision! I highly recommend Dr. Duss.

Had cataracts & astigmatism in both eyes. Dr. Duss fixed it all w/ laser surgery and Toric lenses. Procedure was painless and results were perfect. I can now see better than I have in my entire life! Would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Duss did an excellent job on my cataract surgery. Explained everything along the way. No complications whatsoever. Had mono-vision done because I had it with my contacts before; glad I did. It's been 2 months, my reading/middle vision is superb. My far vision is technically acceptable @20/25, but less than I had before. I mentioned this to him and is going to make a slight LASIK adjustment once the eye settles a little more. It shows me that he cares about his patients and his results.
