Hernia Surgery at 26 Years Old
At the age of 25 I visited Dr. Charles Drueck’s office due to an inguinal hernia & the fact was it supposed to be removed surgically at a year old, but my dad just couldn’t deal with the thought. My hernia had ruptured and it hurt, so, I sought out Dr. Drueck who tried to reassure me every thing would be okay, the surgery would be simple. I tried to warn him there would be more to it. December 6th , 1982 the year I married my first husband, we went into Evanston Hospital, if my memory serves me correctly. It was six months since my husband married me. My parents were there. I couldn’t even lift a pillow. Dr. Drueck took me into surgery and my warning came true. Sadly my husband fooled around on me and gave me Gonhorrea. Instead of being quick, the surgery took an hour. Dr. Drueck not only removed my hernia, but cut, gave me a shot and tied up one of my fallopian tubes. If he hadn’t, I would have died. Dr. Drueck saved my life.
