I am sad to say I have to put one star. I would stay away from Charles Chalekson’s office if you can. There aren’t many plastic surgeons in the area, but making a longer drive would be worth it. I needed a letter from my psychiatrist to proceed with the surgery. When I spoke with the office, more than one person, including the scheduler, Angela, referred to the content of my psychiatrist’s letter (a protected part of my medical record). They were disrespectful of my privacy and threatened to keep almost half of the price of the operation when it was they who decided not to go ahead with the procedure. This should have been a discussion only between me and the surgeon. Instead, the surgeon never spoke to me again and I was forced to plead with the office staff (who should not have even known what my psychiatrist said) to refund my money, when it was the surgeon who decided not to operate. After several phone calls over several weeks, they finally agreed to a refund.

Dr. Chalekson and his staff are extremely professional and informative. The staff is so kind and supportive. I truly felt like I was in great hands throughout the process of my procedure and am so happy with results!

I cannot rave about Dr. Chalekson and his staff enough. He got me in to do my reconstruction with my mastectomy when we weren’t even sure our dates would line up, he worked it out before he had even met me. He is an amazing plastic surgeon and his work speaks for itself. His staff is the absolute best! I’ve never experienced so many friendly, smiling and truly caring faces every time you come in. Not to mention the office is absolutely beautiful! I highly highly suggest to any and everyone to come in here for any plastic surgery or med spa needs!

Dr. Chalekson's front office was amazing Dr Chalekson performed a tummy tuck in 2022 and I had severe complications 1 week post op needed wound care didn't heal for 8 months after he has no compassion or professionalism in my opinion my scare healed horribly and he wants to charge me to fix it i will never recommend his office for anything please research your procedure and doctor very well as I thought i did and clearly I didn't.

After meeting with Dr Chalekson and discussing the services I was wanting. Which was a Tummy Tuck, Breast Reduction with implant removal. I was impressed with his professionalism and all of his staff. Office visits are easy and no waiting. After waying out my options, I had my surgery in July 2023. Today I'm 7 months post op and could not love my results any better. Thank you Dr. C!

I am so completely happy with my body transformation. Not only is Dr Chalekson an excellent surgeon but also an artist. The scar on my stomach is so narrow. It amazes myself and my husband. I am eight weeks out from abdominal plasty breast augmentation with implants/reconstruction. I am a two time cancer survivor so my breast reconstruction was very important to me to look balanced. He did a beautiful job. I feel more confident in my clothes. While surgery recovery is of course challenging there have been zero complications and my life has already been transformed. It was completely worth it. Dr Chalekson and the entire office is a pleasure to work with. Both my surgeon and my oncologist highly recommended Dr Chalekson, as do I.

Dr. Chalekson and his staff made my breast reduction surgery so comfortable and easy. From start to finished, I was informed and cared for. As for the surgery, it was incredibly easy with very little pain during the first week of recovery! I am so happy with the outcome of my new breasts!

I moved from the Bay Area to San Luis Obispo County two years ago, and I was pretty scared given the attitudes toward people like me. I wasn't sure if I was safe to leave the rainbow bumper sticker on my car, so I peeled it off. When I left Oakland, I wasn't sure if more fully becoming myself was a good idea after all. But, after some research into top surgery, the costs, and who was available to do it in the area I chose Dr. Chalekson because of his clear adeptness in the procedure, as well as his understanding of how meaningful the process is. Dr. Chalekson and his entire team are wonderful to work with. I had developed severe capsular contracture, after a recent implant exchange procedure with another surgeon, which he was able to correct. From a simple procedure to the more complex, I would definitely recommend Dr. Chalekson as your next cosmetic surgeon!
