Always a great experience
I have been a patient of Dr. Burke for over a year now. I waited to leave a review because of all the mixed reviews here. I can say, he has helped me manage my adhd so well. My very first visit, although I had a diagnosis years ago, he did his own thorough evaluation. He did not place me on medication immediately, he completed assessments then decided what was right for me individually. I can see other reviews reporting being unhappy regarding medication management, and I can understand the initial hesitation and struggle of changes. I can relate, and also report it takes a lot of time to figure out what’s right for you. I highly recommend Dr. Burke, over a few visits and a couple adjustments, I am good to go, and really satisfied.

Extremely dismissive
I went here against my better judgment for years and the fact I didn't have the motivation or energy to go through the entire intake process again. He seems nice, but if you disagree with him he'll become completely dismissive. He doesn't listen to your wants or needs. I was on a med that would constantly cause nausea and everytime I told him I wanted off it I was just told to eat 3 meals a day. (Which I struggle with) By the 3rd time I told him this and he didn't listen, I just stopped picking up that med from my pharmacy. I don't know if he has access to that data, but he either never knew or didn't care and never said anything to me. Extremely unattentive when telling him your problems, he would basically just tell me to get over things. I don't think the 4 years I went there he ever actually helped me with an issue I delt with. For example, I told him I was cold constantly and so he went on a rant about how lotion is bad cause it has water and I should use oil instead. I was look

Disappointed Patient. – May 21, 2024

Two things. 1) he took me off of all of my depression and anxiety medication and put me on one that he liked instead, this caused me to become suicidal and develop bald spots long after I returned to a stable point. 2) my mother and I expressed interest in ketamine therapy in Toledo, he said that he did not like it, did not believe in it, and would no longer treat me if I went through with it. I wasted six weeks with him and fell back rather than improved.

So disappointed.
Probably don't tell a patient who is seeing you for the first time about suicidal thoughts that you don't believe them about something that has traumatized them.

I tried to give dr Burke the benefit of the doubt and allow my self to become “vulnerable “ to him with my mental health (after leaving a mentally abusive situation ). I explained to him my situation at the very first appointment ; I have anxiety with trusting , relying on people, being alone with people etc… he gave me a big spiel about trusting him because he’s employed by me blah blah blah.. after 4 months of seeing him Monthly ; being put on medications for my mental health needs, and now relying on these medications not only for my mental well being but also my physical . I was put in a situation yesterday with him that I was fearful of (not physical but mental, emotional … Big smart Dr Talking down to a little non confrontational women who has already been abused manipulated and treated less than.). Every visits we go through the same convo “do u have ur shot “ “r u getting your shot?” I sit and listen to all his facts with my mask on sitting 6ft apart (and I don’t mind because
