Dr. Charles Broome, MD

After having Dr Broome preform a total knee replacement, I had my follow on December 20th . XRays were done and Dr Broome and I reviewed the results of the X-ray . All X-rays indicate that the replacement surgery went as planned . Physical examination showed that the recovery is going ahead of schedule. I would recommend Dr. Broome to anyone looking to have their knee checked , treated or replaced, He explains everything extremely well , answers all your question . This was done prior to surgery and after surgery. Highly recommended.

Dr. Broome replaced my hip and knee ten years ago. I have not had any problems at all. My other knee has recently had some discomfort. The treatment plan is to start slow and see if the discomfort could be treated without surgery. After a cortisone injection my knee feels better and I will continue to monitor my progress. Dr. Broome is the only doctor I would allow to do replacement surgery on me.

I was impressed by the clinic. Dr. Broome took his time with me. I am very impressed by all of it. He left the door open as to when I wanted or needed injections done.

I was referred to Dr Broome by my rheumatologist. I have the utmost respect for him so I figured Dr Broome must be a great doctor also. From my first visit I knew that I was in the right place. The office is immaculate in cleanliness. The staff is professional and nonjudgmental. It began with the front staff! There was not a long wait time. As I moved into the visit, Dr Broome’s nurse was very polite and knowledgeable about what was going to be taking place and made sure that I understood. She listened and took the time to make me feel comfortable in moving forward. Next came the XRay tech and he also took the time to explain everything that he was doing in a positive manner. When I got back to the room I met Dr Broome and his assistant. They were both very knowledgeable and took the time exhibit a caring attitude towards me. They answered all of my questions. They made sure that I understood everything that was going on in my situation.

His experience in helping me with my knees have been more then helpful but important to me to be able to function.I am greatful for his willingness to listen to my concerns. I totally recommend Dr Broome for anyone.

Surgery was 6/29 for patellar tendon rupture after knee replacement. I understand this is a rare occurrence. Another surgeon did my knee replacement surgeries. I have experienced little pain after the patellar tendon repair surgery. I am hopeful thanks to Dr. Broome that I will recover. I would add that the recovery from this surgery is lengthy and somewhat grueling! He is following me on a timely basis to ensure progress in my recovery. I am thankful for his expertise and his kindness.

Wish we would have found Dr Broome 10 years ago!! He is absolutely the best!!

Dr Broome and the staff at SA Orthopaedic are excellent. Respond quickly and always make themselves available as quickly as possible if you need anything from the office. Everyone has been knowledgeable. I never felt frustrated or wondered where they left their brain that morning. I can’t express how kind, thoughtful and thorough my care has been. How knowledgeable Dr Broome and his staff are has been such a refreshing experience. He is one of the few doctors in San Antonio that currently and successfully uses an anterior approach to hip replacement. The very next day, I walked out of the hospital to my relative’s car, after a full right hip replacement. I have several issues that made my recovery a little more difficult. But, I can only imagine just how difficult and painful and disappointing my surgery recovery would have been elsewhere. I am am so happy and thankful for Dr Broome, his PA and the staff at the office.

Dr Broome has done three surgeries on my husband (2 knees , 1 hip) and he’s had excellent results. Dr Broome is so kind and professional. We absolutely trust him!! His office staff is always responsive to your needs. We highly recommend Dr Broome!!!

Dr Broome is extremely understanding and takes his time explaining everything. He is not quick to recommend surgery and tries everything to help you before resorting to an operation. When surgery is required he is highly skilled and with my knee replacement his work was flawless and it has healed beautifully.

1 year out from my hip revision. Dr Broome changed my life forever. He and the staff are caring, helpful and efficient. Dr Broome explains everything and makes sure you understand what is happening and going to happen. My recovery was almost painless with little meds. Amazing group that I refer everyone to!

Dr Broome was personable, kind and asked relevant questions about my hip pain. He showed me the x-rays and explained what he saw. We discussed conservative options for treatment. He’s open to non-invasive treatments which is very important to me. I recommend him 100%

I scheduled my appointment after reading the reviews online. Dr Broome was very thorough, took his time answering all my questions, and his bedside manor was incredible. Can't recommend him enough.

Most importantly, put my mind at ease, and explained everything exceptionally well to the point that I now feel comfortable with how my knee is doing. Such a friendly man with a wonderful manner and no chip on shoulder like some other doctors have. You can tell he really loves being a doctor because he's able to help people, not just cash in. And he really takes time to listen, not just talk AT you. Loved my visit and will 100% recommend him to anyone who needs a knee doctor.
