Dr. Chaithra Nagar, MD

One of the best doctors I've had. Visited several times over the years and she always addressed concerns with care and referred quickly to specialists when pertinent, often taking preliminary tests so there would be a comparison when I went to specialists. She was clear and thorough in explaining what she was doing and why, what tests meant and why she gave the recommendations she did. Personable but still professional and I never questioned her concern for both my mental and physical health, and whether it was because she took really good notes, or had a great memory, she always checked in about things going on in my last visit. A rare modern doctor.

I found Dr. Nagar to be unprofessional. She is very gabby and likes to chat about things that aren't relevant to medicine. She mocked me for being a bartender (told me she would have become one, too, if she were a "loser") and also laughed pretty hard when I told her I wasn't sexually active (???). Bare minimum, I expect a doctor to be respectful and take my health concerns seriously. She ignored my concerns for the sake of chitchat. Maybe she doesn't care.

She is excellent and has managed my health better than any physician in the past
