Dr Makary listened to all my concerns and spent plenty of time explaining my treatment. He was super friendly and very intelligent. I would recommend him to anyone.

He is the best!!!
I have been struggling with sinus issues for years. I was brushed off by many other doctors. Dr Makary did sinus surgery on me and I have never felt better. The nursing staff was friendly and helpful.

Overdosed
He had given me an overdose of antihistamines and because of that I had heart palpitations and vision blurring and had to go to the ER. Still going through the after effects it’s been few months.

He was rude. None personable whatsoever. Would not stop to answer a question. Told us to refer to the paperwork and he was gone! The staff were pretty much the same. Too bad that they can’t ‘teach empathy’ in Med School. It’s innate and evidently not all people are empathetic. And it can’t be taught. He’s is definitely NO Dr. Armeni!! Just a little furious walking out of the office. Stunned really.

Very rude. Would not answer questions. Asked us “Didn’t you get the paperwork??” Uhh yea but we have a few additional questions!! Well, he said nothing more and was gone. His staff wasn’t any better! He’s definitely not a Dr. Armeni!! Not even close. It’s a shame when there is not an empathetic bedside manner ‘taught’ in Med School! Makery or whomever he was…no introduction…no empathy, no time for questions (Read the paperwork he said!!) and he was GONE. Stunned walking out of this office.

Had a septoplasty and he gashed an artery on the way. He said I was ok despite blood coming out of my nose and mouth. I went to the ER that night after continuously throwing up blood and because it was the Friday before Memorial Day, he sent an assistant that couldnt do anything but shove larger cotton up in my nose. He was informed the severe bleeding had not stopped and was forced to come in. He felt so inconvenienced that even before I woke up from surgery he left without prescribing anything for the pain. He had to come back and that was the end of the world for him. After a few follow ups to ensure it stopped bleeding he had the audacity to send me a 3,000 bill.. told his office I am not paying anything after what was endured.

I will never give anyone Dr Makary's name. As a matter of fact, I'm letting people I know, and social media to NEVER go to him He told us at our first appt that she would have "plenty of pain medication after the tonsillectomy", however he is now refusing to give any medication to anyone having their tonsils removed due to the new federal law that is restricting opiate use even tho there is a 7 day window to get pain meds. She's in severe pain!! Was told to go to the ER if the pain was too much!
